Admiral 5000mAh 6S 22.2V 50C LiPo Battery With EC5 Connector

Admiral 5000mAh 6S 50C LiPo Battery with EC5 Connector

Motion RC looked far and wide to find a LiPo battery pack with a decent price, reasonably low internal resistance, and the power to help your planes perform their best. We've tested these batteries in all our planes and had great results.

Note:  If you are looking for an 8S power setup, the Admiral 2S 5000mAh LiPo is perfect for that application in conjunction with this 6S battery.

  1. Great size and weight 5 Star Review

Excellent fit for my carbon-z T-28

  2. Great Battery 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Sep 2015

Have 5 flights on this battery in my F/A 18e. Great battery. Have a few Admirals and happy with them all. Great customer service and shipping from Motion as always.

  3. Quality control issues on mine, but good mid range Lipo Packs 3 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Sep 2015

I received two packs with the outer shrink wrap covering split completely, rendering the batteries unsafe for most people to use until repaired. (the shrink wrap protects the very fragile lipo covering from being compromised in normal handling and also serves as an attach point in most applications). The cells charged well so I elected to keep them and make the repair myself. I feel Motion RC should make sure things like this aren't happening in the future, it was easy to see these packs were not ready to ship to a customer as their condition was visually obvious, and it did not happen via shipping damage. Fortunately, the packs are good once repaired but of course like some other reviews reveal the measured resistance values aren't measuring at 50C on my Revolectrix charger - more like 25C in truth. They would never hold up to 50c apps at 250 amps, just would not happen (more than once at least). But they do a great job in 100 amp applications, no sweat.

  4. Just as Advertised, Just as Reviewed! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Sep 2015

The reviews for this battery are glowing, and I have to add to the list. They have performed extremely well, come with the EC-5 connection already installed, and the delivery and service from Motion RC is one of the best in the business. I am really pleased to have made the decision to purchase these batteries, and I saved hundreds of dollars in the process! My other battery inventory includes many Thunder Power and E-Flite LiPos, and I am not seeing a difference in performance or quality. I will definitely be making more battery purchases through Motion RC in the future.

  5. I am hard on lipo batteries! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Sep 2015

I am hard on batteries. I wish I would have purchased these batteries right from the start years ago. I would have saved hundreds of dollars and enjoyed electric flying more. These Admiral batteries don't swell, don't get very hot, always balance, they are the simply the best. I have several 3s2200, 4s5000, 6s4500 and 6s5000. I fly my planes and jets fast full throttle. Don't waste your money on the HK and VH crap. You think your saving money but in the long run your really not.

  6. Very good value 5 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Sep 2015

This is my third Admiral 6s 5000mAh 50C battery and it is just as good as the first two. It has low internal resistance (approx 2mohm per cell at room temperature, and quite a bit lower after flying in my Stinger 90mm) and none of my batteries have puffed yet. I run them hard in my Stinger and put a continuous ~20C load on them for the whole flight. They do come down quite warm, but flying full throttle at 100+ amps for the entire flight in 80-100 degree weather is really pushing these bad boys. Due to the stress I put on these batteries, I'm not sure how many cycles I'll get out of them, but I've got 40+ cycles on the first two I bought and they are no worse for the wear. If I need more, I won't hesitate to pick up some more. And additionally, MotionRC is my favorite RC company to buy from.

  7. Way over stated on the C rating 1 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Aug 2015

I bot 4 of these batteries to fly a 35 lb plane that pulled 150 amps. the best I could get after one year was about 12.5 C. I only flew about 6 times - About 100.00 per flight. Save your money.

  8. Excellent Battery with a Short Balance Cable 4 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Aug 2015

While it IS possible to plug this battery into a parallel charging board, the balance wire length is too short. Had to use an extension wire, but you shouldn't need to use one.

  9. Great for the price 5 Star Review

Posted by on 31st Jul 2015

Holds up very well. Returns to 4.2v per cell every time.

  10. Best Lipos 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Jul 2015

I prefer the Admiral lipos for both the best price and best performance in my models.

  11. Admiral 5000mAh 6S 50C battery 4 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd Jul 2015

I have only had a few cycles on this battery, but it seems
to have a good voltage balance between the cells. The power delivery is very good, and the so is the workmanship I like the fact the battery came with a EC5 connector already installed. If this battery is anything like my other
Admiral batteries, I should not have an problems with the
battery puffing up, like other brands I have used.

  12. Balance port is tooo short. 2 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Jul 2015

New to extend the balance cable. Can't fit 4 packs on board to charge.

  13. Excellent Battery 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Jun 2015

Excellent battery, more that half the price of a Horizon Eflite 50c 5000 6c battery. Use this in my Habu 32X. Horizon cost $239, Admiral price $109. Great price Great Battery.

  14. 6s 5000 50c 5 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Jun 2015

very god product, gets warm but not hot

  15. High power, low temperature 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Jun 2015

I have been flying these batteries for almost two years and they're still going strong. I own six of them and the EC5 connector matches almost all of Motion's jets and my other jets so that's a huge plus. It is nice to not have to solder anything.

Weight wise, somehow the Admiral battery is lighter than the other brands I have. The IR is low even after 50+ flights. I did have one cell on one battery which was at 4.17v but after a couple cycles it leveled off at 4.20v like the other cells.

If you're looking for a lightweight battery with higher quality and lower weight than HK, the Admirals are my top choice. The discharge rating is more accurate and not hyped like expensive 75c-90c batteries.
