This is the Futaba 10J radio system with S-FHSS (frequency hopping spread spectrum) and T-FHSS (Telemetry + frequency shopping spread spectrum) technology. Futaba is known for making the highest quality and most reliable systems on the market. The Futaba 10J is one of the most reliable and most economical 10 channel radios available. Don't trust your models to an off brand unreliable radio with no support or warranty when a radio like this is available. The 10J has a large backlit display, 30 Model memory, telemetry, and many popular features only found on more expensive radios. With all these features and a fantastic price, we think the Futaba 10J is a radio worth owning. The radio requires 4AA batteries. We recommend using Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable AA cells. An optional rechargeable NiMh pack may also be used.

I was not really in the market for S-Bus radio. (In fact, I did not even know what S-Bus does for me) I was only in the market for good reliable radio to use for my new project, Christen Eagle. For the price though, this is a really good radio with lots of programming options I can use now, and if I ever want to get a really fancy plane with lots of servos, I won't have to buy another radio. What I really like now is I can look at my receiver battery voltage on the transmitter without having to buy any additional telemetry optional items. I flew my Christen Eagle today on this radio, and had no problem. My only wish item on this radio is LiPo transmitter option, which I don't believe they offer currently. S-Bus cables and servos are pricey now, but I'm sure price will come down once there are wider usage/acceptance. For now, I'm putting only the high-end aircrafts on this radio, and I think this radio will serve me well for years to come.

I did my home work and try to pick a radio that would work for many years and aircraft. and so far just learning but think this will be a wise choice for my journey in remotes.

First let me explain the 4 star rating. Nothing man made is perfect. This radio turned out to be easier to use than I thought it would be. I've been using a Spektrum radio but I wanted to try something different. WOW what a difference. This radio has more to offer in the way of adjustments. The Rx's have dual antenna's. I only wish I had gotten this radio sooner. I would recommend Futaba to anyone. I bought it to fly a Naza equipped multi-rotor I built.
