  1. awesome fast racer and P51

Posted by Unknown on 15th Apr 2014

    Hey,
If you want a plane that will turn heads and everyone to say WOW! This is the plane.
Everyone likes a P51 Mustang the plane has a rich history for our military but hey this is a racer and it is fast even with the 4 blade prop and it looks good. Easy to see in the air. People will just droul over it.

  2. First Impression.

Posted by Kizashi on 15th Apr 2014

    Hi guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I received the Strega P-51 and it arrived
fine. Another positive experience with Motion RC.

I must tell you that I was really impressed with the model when I opened
the box. What a beautifull model! I believe this has been the model that
has impressed me the most so far. This thing is awesome!!!!!! I am sure
that this model will bring you many other sales from Puerto Rico once they
see the model and ask me were did I purchase it.
So now that the Strega has crossed the USA and the Atlantic and safely
arrived to Puerto Rico, I hope it survives my flying. ;o) who knows maybe
    the Corsair could be next!

    Thanks for the fast shipping,

    Raymond

  3. Best customer service ever!

Posted by Joe Casey on 15th Apr 2014

I recently purchased a Strega P-51 (online), and after hitting the purchase button, I saw that batteries were on sale. I immediately called to see if they could add a battery, and an extra prop. The sales person was most helpful, and when the box with the airplane showed up... no battery or extra prop... I called, and they insisted that it was in the box. Twice I opened the box up, and no battery or prop. Finally, they called back, and suggested I turn the foam (inner box) over as there was a compartment that was on the bottom where I would find the rest of the order. BINGO..... It was there!
Thanks for being patient with an old man... I will be back...prices are good, inventory is excellent, but your customer service is the best.

  4. Got the need for SPEED

Posted by Charles Lawrence of Jax,FL on 6th Apr 2014

Got this bird on Friday and had it ready for the weekend. The build was super easy even with programing the radio.Make sure you dial in some expo I used 30% all around! She flies like a dream after a few clicks of trim she was on rails and ready for the on the deck high speed passes. The guys at the field want one.so get yours before they are gone.Great Job MRC another winner

  5. Fun, Fun, Fun at a great price!

Posted by Unknown on 4th Apr 2014

How can I not give this 5 stars? I use a 4S 2700 50C and this is one fun, fast plane. The only problem I have had was the vertical stabilizer was tilted a little, but very easy to straighten. MotionRC has this plane for $199.99 and that includes shipping! They have amazing customer service and they ship quickly.

I watched the videos and I take off on grass and have not had a problem. I do use the recommended 1/3 to 1/2 throttle max for take off with a little rudder and she pops up on the wing wheels then lifts off smoothly and from there it's all about fun! I use low rates for high speed.

Assembly is easy and even with programming it was flight ready in just one evening after work. I don't think you can beat the combination of the this plane at this price!

  6. Roc Solid

    Posted by L.M.R. on 30th Mar 2014

Flying this plane with a 12x12 apc and she is as solid as any plane I have ever flown. Balsa or foam. Good retracts, huge flight envelope. Get one, you wont be disappointed.

  7. Blast to fly

Posted by Unknown on 29th Mar 2014

Went together easily and parts are a good fit. Be sure to check the arm positions of your servos especially on the ailerons. Had to move one so throws were equal. Also, definitely check the balance of the 4 blade prop, mine needed some work to eliminate vibrations.

Speed is just as advertised and I actually had no problem on the grass at our field. Just hold the up elevator until speed builds and all is fine. My next step is to use the cut down 12x12 that is now an 11x12. Should put the overall speed well over 100mph. Flaps work well to slow it down as the airframe is quite clean.

All in a great purchase and a blast to tear holes in the sky with. Vertical with the 4 blade just goes on and on and on.

  8. fast

Posted by michael dondero on 25th Mar 2014

A very stable plane comes off the great ground quick tracks very well

  9. Killer Plane - great price

Posted by Unknown on 22nd Mar 2014

Had this plane thru most of last season and it is great. Smooth, fast, well built, flies excellent and slows for landing. Two thumbs up here. I am ordering another for back up.

If you are on the fence...order now, you will not regret it.

  10. Buy this speedster

Posted by waytooslow on 18th Mar 2014

This plane is so much fun, you can't go wrong. After you get used to flying, cut down a 12x12 to 11x12 and modify the spinner for super speed fun. It is on rails, just remember to fly at low rates at speed. it's that fast! I do belly land due to our grass field conditions, add some packing tape or pull the gear and hand launch. The air frame has held up well. it just floats in on flaps with minimum tip stalling. have trimmed the hatch cover so I can stuff a 3300 mah batt in for extended run times. even at full throttle for multiple circuit runs the esc and motor just don't get more than slightly warm. Great plane - It always get the pits talking on how fast it flies, just wish our club had pylons. Do it!

  11. Bang for the Buck

Posted by Squid on 16th Mar 2014

This plane rocks. A few minor issues. A main gear was twisted or misaligned causing ground handling trouble and the "RocHobby" decals came muffed up. No big deal, easy fix.
Plane is rock solid and perfectly aligned. I was getting 6 safe minutes on a 2200 4S (Admiral). It is very fast with stock set up. Flies nice at half throttle too. Lots of spars for reinforcement makes for a relatively heavy foam plane that will require a little more runway than typical foam jobs. It also has amazing vertical, it seems infinite.

Once again I thank Motion RC for their excellent selection of planes.

  12. Wow! What a great flying plane,

Posted by Hp on 3rd Mar 2014

Buy this plane. You will not regret it.

This is a fast flying and smooth plane. This mustang is well built and will definitely turn heads at the flying field.

    Rock solid performance.

  13. TERRIFFIC STOCK PERFORMANCE!

Posted by J. Kollmann on 27th Feb 2014

I maidened this last weekend, after quickly installing an inexpensive 3 axis gyro RX. The foam is very good quality and the finish and fit of this are exceptional. It makes a very attractive scale representation of the well-known reno participant. Performance is the best I've seen stock out-of-the-box for a scale plane in this size. Particularly impressive is that the speed and efficiency with the scale 4 bladed prop is really impressive. I was chasing and passing a couple of similar sized 70MM edf's with expensive fans and motors. I'd guess the speeds are in the 80-85 mph range. Gear and flap function are flawless and the full deployment of about 60 degrees of flaps requires only a little elevator trim. Running it on a 3300 MAH glacier 4 cell the flight time was 8.5 minutes with 28% remaining. This includes several full throttle split-S to low passes that were real crowd-pleasers. It flies big and pattern-planeish really like on rails. A decent roll-rate and fairly scale roll that were improved with some mechanical differential on the ailerons ( the Gyro RX won't allow a differential mix but I'd suggest about 25-30% if you use a conventional two channel aileron method. One thing to note is that on takeoff the plane will easily ROG at half throttle and rapid application of full throttle makes it quite the torque-beast so It's worth slow throttle application to make the takeoff roll far more manageable and a real treat. Landings are nice and easy with just a bit of power and I even got a respectable wheel-landing holding the tail off until the speed bled off. This one's a keeper. Gangs of fun and almost no sweat aside from a clumsy throttle torque Yaw that scared all the spectators and me as well!

  14. Would buy this one all over again.

Posted by cfit rob on 23rd Feb 2014

Maidened the strega today. Balanced plane at rear of gear covers on top wing, using 4s admiral 2200mh. 5 to 10 mph winds. Flew beautifully. Looks great in the air. Lands easily. Low level high speed to vertical climb is a thing of beauty. Thanks MRC for the great aircraft and the outstanding customer service.

  15. Very impressive machine

Posted by Brian on 17th Feb 2014

Plane was very easy to assemble. Less then an hour. Minimal gluing, parts screw together nicely. The wings are stiff, and stuffed with carbon rods even on the aikerons. Motor has plenty of power. Have not flown it yet with the snow still coming down here. But am anxious to fly it, on the test stand she really torque's good so be nice to get her up. Would recommend to anyone. Neighbor bought one also. I belong to 2 clubs so it will get some attention in the air at the fields.
