Great flying 3D plane
First of all thanks to Motion RC for their great service and very fast shipping. The plane was easy to assemble, although a assembly manual was not included. However, I went to the Tech one website and downloaded one. This is a great flying airplane, and very sturdy. I'm not a 3D expert flyer, but it performs sport aerobatics with ease, and is allowing me to practice 3D maneuvers without worry. I couldn't keep the prop on with the prop-saver o-ring, although I haven't had this problem with the other two Tech one planes I've had. So, a small aluminum prop adapter was installed and have had no problems. The small wheels included made it hard to get good rolling landings at the baseball outfield where I fly it. Replaced these with lightweight 21/2" wheels and now lands great. I hand launch the plane with an underhand throw, so don't know about rolling take-offs. I'm using the Admiral 3S 1300mah battery, which brought the CG right on, and the performance is great.
First 3-D type plane
I got this plane to use as a park flyer knowing nothing about 3-D type planes. The only problem I had was I could not fine the CG location anywhere in the instruction manual. A quick call to MotionRC and got my answer 95mm-100mm from the LE at the root of the wing. It fly well, but I am now understanding why the 3-D guys all use expo for their planes. I had to tame down the ailerons and elevator a bunch, expo would go a long way to fix this problem. Anyway it's a good first 3-D type plane.
Very nice plane. Performs as
Very nice plane. Performs as advertized

hve had to replace servo with only 3 flights . getting CG correct a little tricky. timely of shipment was excellent, packaging was excellent, over plane is good, indoor flight would be best. plane will not take much wind. quality of material is very good for a fomy.
Tech one Sbach 342
Great precision trainer. Now I can fly knife edge circles with ease. Used Lemon RX stabilizing receiver and plane will fly stable in turbulent air. Use 3S 1300 mAh battery for 6 1/2 minute flight. Added DuBro control horns and threaded rod with clevis for strength. EPP foam is unbreakable. I know....I tried.
Plane is great. Missing a
Plane is great. Missing a y- connection and 2 servo extentions as part of the so called kit
I like it...
I recently purchased this plane. Very nice and the perfect size. I like that the EPP foam is much thicker than the EPP 31 inch foamies. Looks like it will hold up fairly well. I thought the build was very easy and I love these ARF bundles. Sure is nice to know I can order one of these and everything is there. I have flown it a few times and I am sure this plane will help me as I learn 3D. Thanks Motion RC for the super fast shipping!!!
Almost done building it and
Almost done building it and can't wait to fly it! Thanx:)
First you need to know that you do need some building skills to complete. The instructions provide the basics but do leave some items out or in wrong order. Take your time and think it through and you will be rewarded. Though this is an ARF mine did not come with aileron "y" harness and two - 12 inch servo wire extensions. I had a "y" harness but no extensions, called Motion and they were in the mail the next day. Another reason to buy from Motion RC, the great customer service. I used a prop adapter on mine as never had experience with the prop saver. First flight was with 50% expo and a 1200 battery. CG was perfect and she flew right out of my hands. Even with 50% expo on all surfaces she did some nice 3D. I bought this airplane to practice 3D and I can tell she will not disappoint. Per other reviews she will need power to fly. She was easy to fly though and immediately I was doing multiple rolls, stall turns, hovering and elevators (not well - but will be soon!). As always great support from Motion RC and great service, keep up the great work!
