Awesome plane, little twitchy though. 3d/6g switch is very useful
This plane is awesome with it's stabilization. Plug in the landing gear, battery and you're all set to fly It's a bit twitchy with dead zones in the sticks but otherwise it's a perfect beginner/intermediate plane
After complaining there was no adapter for charging the battery from EU to US configuration provided in box and after pouting for awhile then sending a harsh review, I went out and paid $4.79 for adapter plugged in battery let it charge then omg omg omg this was so fast and twitchy did I say FAST lol but after a few flights I'm getting used to switching between 6g and 3g when I get into trouble simply an awsome little plane. Couldnt stop laughing during first flight on how fast this thing is did I say FAST. Nice job
Just opened box and...
Was so looking foward to charging and then flying this little rocket have seen urine vids of it flying and was looking foward for my chance. But after taking inventory of the contents they failed to send me the adapters for the charger and I'm stuck with a battery I can't charge sadly I don't live in Europe or Asia as my address clearly showed really bummed out!!!!!!
This plane looks good and flies great too.
The plane had a glitchy electronics, and binding elevator servo the first time I flew it. I have bought multiple micro airplanes from E-flight and never had any issues.
This baby is something to fly. Kinda boring in 6G but be very careful in 3 D as this thing can be really twitchy and sensitive to wind. For the money is one of my favorites as I can fly it in smaller yards and school play grounds. One episode that resulted in damage . Was easily repairable with some work.
This plane is only OK. It comes in a carrying case box, but you have to slide the Styrofoam inner packing out to remove the plane and back in to replace it. Kind of a hassle. It came with 2 extra props and spinners. You have to remove the landing gear to put the plane in the box, but the gear goes in and out easily and stys in the plane very well. The airplane is well made and looks great. The build and components are really nice. The landing gear is strong and not bendy at all. Judging from the weight and size I predicted it would be fast, and it is. Landing speed is not super fast, but the stall characteristics of this little plane are ****, and you must keep your approach very fast to keep any control at all. The little edge lands nicely in packed sand with no tendency to nose over. The plane flies with an odd mix of twitchy over sensitivity and a sluggish lack of control. I was able to get the pitch axis pretty comfortable by moving the control rod to the outer hole of the elevator horn. While the elevator moves very little control still has authority. Loops are tight and squares are crisp. The roll axis is not so good. Rolls are sluggish. There is a dead area in the center of the controls, so at first nothing happens, then suddenly the airplane is rolling too much. With full control applied the roll rate is acceptable but not very fast. Maybe with a better transmitter this would be an awesome little plane. I don't really want to spend $200.00 to find out. The quality of the components looks excellent. I believe that it may last a long time without developing mechanical problems, unlike Horizon garbage. Unfortunately it is just not much fun to fly.
XK micro edge
Plenty fast. Go easy on the throttle especially in 3D mode. This is not a full evaluation. Only have two flights on it.
Great little plane but it has a few flaws
Pros: + Comes out of the box preassembled. You only have to insert the main landing gear and the battery, and balance the model. Like most other people, I too had to add tail weight to achieve the proper balance. + Comes with an extra prop. Wish they'd thrown in an extra prop shaft too since it's pretty easy to bend it. Ask me how I know. + Level flight is smooth. Flies FAST. Gyro stabilization in 6g mode is very effective and it handles wind quite easily. Cons: - The included Tx really should've used the wasted buttons instead of the sticks to toggle dual rates and gyro mode. - Large control surfaces make this a very twitchy model to fly without expo, which the included Tx doesn't have. Factor in a little bit of deadness in the sticks on center and you've got a plane that responds very quickly to inputs. This might not be a problem for experienced pilots but it will definitely teach beginners a few lessons the hard way if they want to try out the 3D mode. I really wish the plane was available in PNP so I could use a better radio with it. - Average flight time on the included battery is about 5 minutes so be sure to order an extra battery or two so you can really enjoy this plane.
