This is the first person video (FPV) version which includes an onboard 720p video camera and 5G WiFi video transmitter. This is an extremely fun aircraft for those who would like to dip their toes into the world of VTOL (Vertical Takeoff and Landing). With a built in 6-axis gyro, the X520 is capable of both stability for beginners as well as a 3D mode for advanced pilots.
Extremely lightweight and made of EPO foam, the X520 VTOL can takeoff and land in small areas and offers both multi-rotor versatility and sports plane acrobatics. This model comes ready to fly right out of the box with the superior X8 transmitter, 2S 7.4V 950 mAh LiPo battery and charger so you are ready for fun and fascinating aerial adventures in the time it takes you to charge the battery!

Awesome plane I would recommend this ✈️ to anybody beginners or advanced flyers only issue I’m having now is my motors are spinning backwards and I can’t seem to find anyone to help because nobody has experienced this issue but be but the plane is amazing

So fun i bought 2
I got my first with the x4 transmitter. Once I figured out how to work it it was a blast. Forget the instructions they are terrible. I had to go to YouTube to figure it out. I made sure the second one I ordered had the x8 transmitter. It will work with both. This is a fun flyer and very easy to learn how to fly. It has only one fault, the nose breaks off with little force. I think this is due to the hollowed out area in the nose for a camera. Mine has none. On the positive side it glued back on very easily with hot glue or foam safe blue. Back in the air fast. Worth every penny.

Great fun once you figure it out
Terrible directions, but once you figure out how to start it and get it in the air it is a fun model and once you get to where you can fly it in 'psychotic mode' it is a wild and insane funster!! Ok in some wind too. I have to fly off grass so seldom get to do the airplane mode takeoff as it IS capable of doing. Just hold the nose in the vertical and start it in hover mode and then just let go. Get altitude and switch to airplane mode and then to psycho mode and have a ball. Even land it on the wheels gently in airplane mode. Had a hard time finding a source for a spare battery as others of same v and mah were too big to fit the tight pocket. I don't use the hatch cover even with the stock battery as it is such a tight fit and the wires hang out. That should be remodeled so other batteries fit. But it IS a wild and crazy guy!! NOT for beginners! X-Vert style prop protectors should be added also, as you will be flipping over and hitting the props.

Amazing capability
Had problem getting control board to connect to transmitter. Then it just worked. Has worked since. First flight was a ground take off. Wow is this 520 fast! In 6G mode it is smoothe but used lots of sky. Amazing. In 3G mode it is very maneuverable. Amazing. Then got brave and tried a VTOL. Totally smoothe and easy. Again, Amazing. The mastery in electronics with accelerometers and position sensors is what makes these products so successful. I go back fifteen and twenty years ago when. UAV autopilot was so much bigger and far less capable, and $200,000! Great product.

Mind of its own
This vtol wing is really quirky and took me some time to know how to respond to its sometimes odd behavior. It really is a blast to fly but will go into odd girations in hover mode. Usually just giving it more throttle will correct its odd behavior. Very fast and very stable in regular airple mode....lands easy and takes a lot of abuse. You need calm conditions to land it vertically or you can actually bring it down and catch it by the tail. It grows on you and it is really fun after getting used to some of its odd behavior. Transitions from vertical to regular flight flawlessly. In spite of some of the odd things I love it and fly it a lot. I would recommend it. But it does have some learning curve.....maybe only worth 4 stars but then I bought a second one.

Buy extra props
I agree with others the directions are poor......I watched You Tube videos to get the hang of it. I love this little wing! On my first one I trashed a motor learning how to fly it......but loved it so much I bought another one. Now I have two flying well. I found that the vertical take off from ground (and landing) does not always work well. If it falls over it will run away and beat the props. I just hold mine by the rudder and let it stabilize and go vertical that way. Otherwise, it's fast, fun and a unique wing. Transition from vertical to 3D and back is flawless. I tried a 3 cell 450 mah battery which seems to not harm it, but probably not advised.........fast! Instead of trying to land on the ground, ( in quad mode) I just bring it down and grab it by the rudder. I gave it five stars....it takes a beating, (Directions would only get 1 star).

Fun Fun Fun
I found the instructions to be very confusing. I was taking off vertical and able to transition to regular flight .....and in flying wing mode (3D) it is very fast! I found I was not going through the right sequence for arming and taking off and thus it kept falling over and beating the props. It takes 2 seconds for the motors to stop after disarming motors. I finally damaged one motor and ordered a replacement. When you get it right it flys awesome. When in 3d mode its really cool to be flying along, then going to V mode and it transitions to fly like a quad. As a flying wing in 3d mode it is very fast and will do some neat tricks. I found video on YouTube that helped me understand how to arm and work all the controls. So, I ordered another one and a motor to replace my burnt one......when you get it right... it's really cool and fun. After you get though the learning curve you'll love it. 4 stars only because of the poor confusing instructions. As far as cheaper extra batteries I used some 2 cell 800 mah and put a piece of soft velcro on to wedge into battery compartment leaving the cover off.....works great.
