I did not get instruction manual and the nose come for the prop was missing
The control surfaces are very long. The ailerons are almost full length and very stiff. I disconnected all linkages and worked the hinges but thst didnt help. With only one control horn on the ailerons and elevator they distort rather than move so you wont get much authority. I solved this by problem by slicing through the foam hinges. I made a 1" slice, every other inch. This weakened the hinges and allows the surfaces to move rather than distort. Its still far from twitchy so youll need plenty of space. This plane likes to fly fast and on high rate. Its not a floater. If you go into a dive you'll need plenty of room to pull up. Altitude is your friend!
Stalled and laied it over the first few times on take off but thats me learning to fly. Had a guy at the field fly it and trim it. He said it flies nice and dicile. I took it up a few more times and beat it up so bad because of rough landings I just bought a whole new plane so i have lots of spare parts. Also bought an ARF on ebay for $50.00. The one i best up sat for about a year and everything is stiff. So im not sure maybe the lube in the servos is dried out and stiff. They hum pretty loud after i did a rebind. Not sure why i have a connection with this cheapo but i like it and want to keep it flying. Anyway Motion is great to deal with.

My Set Up: FRSkyVoltage Telemetry Reader, GPS Dome, Flight Stabilizer, Venom 3s Lipo, X8R FRSky Receiver Good: - Delivered On Time - Very Sturdy For EPO - Nice Design - Wings Split For Storage And Transport - Motor Has More Than Enough Power To Fight The Winds - Fly's Super Nice (Forgives Pilot Errors) - Spare Part Prices Are Good _________ Bad: - 2 Bad Servos (MotionRC Replaced It Right Away) - ESC Heats Up (MotionRC Replaced It Right Away) - Not Too Much Space For Electronics (But I Made It All Fit Without Cutting Any Foam) - Tail Rudder Section Came In Bent Out Of Shape (Had To Experiment With Warm Towels, and Heat Blower To Reshape Foam As Best I Could. It Is Still Slightly Bent And Can See The Plane Move To The Side During Flight). - Battery Compartment Locking Mechanism Is Not That Good (But You Can Make It Work) _________ I enjoy flying this plane a lot, even with the rudder problem. The servos seem to be weak, but i replaced those with some spare ones i had from a previous plane. I got new ones sent by MotionRC. They might be good servos and it could be that the original ones on the plane were defective for all i know. I recommend this plan for a person who is learning how to fly since it will forgive pilot errors during flight. There is not much room for electronics so keep that in mind. I rate this plane "Very Good" , i spent the money and feel good about it. Plus for the price i don't think it could get any better. Recommendation: - Buy Nylon Screws For The Wings And Landing Gear (If You Crash The Nylon Screws Will Snap Off And Not Break Your Plane)
Very nice to fly but there are some big issues.
This is a really fun plane to fly and is very stable and smooth. I am a beginner and am learning to fly with this plane. My landings are fair and improving but I did make one slightly hard landing, and I mean slightly hard where the plane bounced about 10" and the front wheel crushed the foam and bent backwards, breaking off from the engine mount as well. I liked the plane so much I bought a new fuselage and reassembled it. Afraid I would collapse the front wheel again, I glued a block of wood to the foam behind the metal strut to give the strut more support. That solved the landing problem as I have had several really bad landings and the wood block works perfectly. It kept the wheel from collapsing and there is absolutely no damage to the plane. But then this happened - I had reached the point where I was ready to do more than just slalom around the field and decided to try a slow vertical loop. The plane looped beautifully until it reached the top and was turning down. I cut the throttle and as it began to descend and the wing just snapped right off. The only thing holding the wing on are plastic tabs on the front that slip into the fuselage and two screws in the back. The tabs broke off or through the fuselage and the wing ripped off. The fuselage came down like a dart and was totally destroyed. I am actually considering buying another one, put the wood block on it for the front wheel and then epoxy the wing firmly in place. That should do it but I'm not sure its worth it to buy yet another one. If you buy this plane, fix these two issues before flying and you will a really enjoy flying this plane.
No room for a receiver/gyro installation that has to be installed horizontally. Had to cutout foam and install mounting platform..
Just opened the box, everything is ok have not started yet I have another project in the workbench
So far not impressed
The plane came with a defective ESC and 2 servos all of which have been replaced by customer support. The ESC\battery compartment is tight not leaving much room for the 1800 & 2200 Lipos I have. Haven't had an opportunity to fly the plane yet but I'm hopeful it will fly like a gentle trainer for my wife.
Tech one saturn
this unit is kind of cramped for space in the battery area but it works. the unit had a bad battery cover release I had to repair. Other then that the plane is ok and delivery was great
