Freewing Pandora 4-in-1 Red 1400mm (55") Wingspan - PNP
Freewing Pandora 4-in-1 Red 1400mm (55") Wingspan - PNP - FT30121P
The Freewing Pandora is not only one of the best beginner planes on the market, it is a great intermediate plane too. How is this possible? The Pandora ships as a high wing trainer. Simply change the canopy to the included low wing canopy and move the wings to the bottom of the fuselage and you now have a light sport low wing plane perfect for an intermediate pilot. In addition there are two sets of wheels. There is a set of tricycle landing gear which the Motion RC Pilots think looks best on the low wing plane, and there is a set of "Big Wheel" landing gear in tail dragger format which is perfect for grass and dirt takeoff/landing. The "Big Wheels" even work on tall thick grass with ease.
You literally have 4 combinations and can make 4 different planes. This is a fantastic concept which is very enjoyable to fly. The Pandora does not get knocked around by the wind as much as a smaller plane. We don't recommend beginners fly any RC plane in a lot of wind but this plane is easier than most to fly in a bit of wind because of the larger size and weight. The guys at Motion RC think the Freewing Pandora may quickly become the plane of choice for both beginner and intermediate pilots.

- May 6, 2013 - Optional flaps are molded into the wings along with a pocket for the flap servos. Better yet, the hardware for the optional flaps is included. You only need two 9 gram servos to make the flaps fully operational in about 10 minutes. If you use one flap channel, you will need a Y cable, one forward 9g servo, and one reverse 9g servo. If you use two channels for flaps, you can use two forward 9g servos and reverse one channel using your radio. If you need any help picking out servos for the flaps, the guys at Motion RC are happy to help.

Great flying plane
I have had my Pandora 4 years now and I have never had a real need for 4s power. Yes, it is a bit slower on 3s but this isn't a rocket ship anyway. I prefer the low wing sporty feel better than the high wing trike. I now use the tail dragger over the trike set-up. No, I would not call this a trainer but a fun flyer it surely is. It is well worth the money to me.
This is my second Pandora and I love this plane. I like the look of this red plane compared to the blue one. It is easy to fly. I recommend this plane to beginners and intermediate pilots.
Plane is well thought out and I like the 4 options. Directions are next to non existent and will be trouble for the raw beginner. Fly's nice , looks nice. Nose landing gear in the tri mount is a little weak. Removed skirts adding larger wheels and stiffened up the nose wheel pushrod the best I could. Larger mounting screws would be nice

Great plane and great dealing with Motion RC, as always.
Really fun with 4s upgrade
Ok, here is my two cents. Super Easy assembly even with all the configuration parts. I have only flown in low wing tricycle mode and it does not fly like a trainer set up that way. More like a sport plane. First time out I was surprised on how low the power output was. Made it difficult to fly. Soooo.... In goes the 4s motor and 50 amp esc. WOW...now we're talking. I love this thing. The new motor sticks out 1/2 Inch but you can hardly tell. Plenty of room in fuse to move a 3400mah battery around to get CG correct, although I did trim the hatch a little. Bumped to a 11x8 and 9 prop and this bird does it all and easy to land. There is some cheap hardware and the directions are a joke but if this is your second or third plane you won't have a problem. I am flying off very short grass and so far ( 25 or so landings) the nose gear is holding up but I don't taxi it. Thanks Motion for Great service and an awesome web site.
Four planes for the price of one is a killer deal. Not needing any glue to put together was a nice surprise. Six screws are all it takes. Two screws remove the wing and it's quick to fit in any car. I use the Admiral 3s 2200, but even their Admiral 3s 3300 works perfect. Flying for ten minutes on that battery . Buy the Hobby Eagle A6 gyro for super easy flying maybe in the future. This plane doesn't need it. Super simple and the best trainer. The foam is really nice. You might want to paint a black stripe under the wing so it's easy to see from the ground.
I ordered mine on Thursday and received it on Monday. Thanks. Went together in less that two hours, no problems. I configured mine as a high wing tail dragger because I am a new pilot and our club has a grass field. I have about a dozen flights on it now. I have had two hard landings and have cracked the plastic on the landing gear. I have added expo and it flies well. No other damage to the plane. I would recommend this plane.
. The plane is great! Well thought out. Everything accessible and easy to adjust. Flies great,Assembly ? I couldn't understand the Chinglish instructions,
