FlightLine P-51D Mustang 850mm (33") Wingspan - PNP
P-51D Mustang 850mm (33") Wingspan - PNP from FlightLine - FLW101P
FlightLine and Motion RC has re-imagined the classic P-51D Mustang for 2019 in a beginner-friendly format with accurate styling, gyro-readiness, low operating cost and high fun factor in an easily transportable size! This Mustang features a versatile power system that can use either a 3S or 4S flight battery without needing to change the propeller or ESC. The large battery bay accommodates a wide range of battery sizes, from 3S 1600mAh to an Admiral 4S 2200mAh. Transition from a 30-60mph 3S Trainer to an 80+mph 4S Racer with a simple five second battery change!
Optimized as both a slow speed 3S warbird parkflyer and a 4S sportscale racer, the FlightLine Pocket Warbird series P-51D Mustang can also fit a gyro stabilized receiver such as the Admiral RX600SP 6-Channel DSMX™ Compatible Receiver with Stability Plus Gyro. Easy hand launches are accomplished either overhand or underhand, and balanced wing loading provides precise handling and steady landing characteristics. Say goodbye to precarious nail-biting hand launches - - this Mustang is a breeze to launch with moderate throttle and a firm toss. Separating itself from previous generations of parkflyer warbirds in the sub-900mm class, several design elements increase this Mustang's durability including a long plywood battery plate, reinforced motor firewall, shatter resistant two blade propeller, one-piece wing with carbon spar, servo horn protectors, and plastic sheathed underside fuselage to resist scuffs during landing. The overall result is a balanced model that "flies on rails" like a larger aircraft instead of being "pushed around" like a toy.
Like the Freewing ParkJet Series of 64mm EDF Jets, the FlightLine Pocket Warbird Series offers modelers a platform for modification and customization. In addition to the structural preparations outlined above, the Mustang also arrives factory painted in satin silver with two different decal sets. Pilots wanting to apply their own color scheme can do so directly over the factory paint without needing to remove any decals. The decal sets are based off of two potential tail colors if you so chose. The green tail is "The Enchantress", piloted by 2nd Lt William Saks. 457th Fighter Squadron, 506th Fighter Group. Iwo Jima, June 1945. The yellow tail is "Shanghai Lil'", piloted by Ed Linfante, 462nd Fighter Squadron, 506th Fighter Group. For more information please click on the Support tab above.
This is the stock livery as it comes out of the box:
457th Fighter Squadron, 506th Fighter Group "The Enchantress" (Note: You will need to paint the tail section green)
462nd Fighter Squadron, 506th Fighter Group "Shanghai Lil'" (Note: You will need to paint the tail section yellow)
For additional control precision, pilots can also install a 9g rudder servo inside the fuselage and use the pre-molded passageway to guide a control rod rearward toward the rudder hinge itself. The model can be raced within smaller flying fields areas with a lightweight 3S 1600 battery, or in larger areas with a heavier and more powerful 4S 2200. We recommend the 3S 2200mAh or 4S 2200mAh as an ideal balance between flight duration, top speed, vertical performance, and ease of launch/landing.
Backed by Motion RC's world class service and a host of spare parts, race your Mustang with confidence!

Flightline P51 850 mm
Nice plane used the admiral stability receiver plane flew perfect easy to fly glides really nice and far only ran 3s 2200 perfect CG broke a prop on 3rd flight motion RC has no replacements st this time so plane is grounded
if you can't get a prop
OK, I'm still waiting for a replacement Prop for the P-51 850mm. They are still weeks out if that. SO ! I found one that fits the spinner welll and flies the P-51 fine, not the speed you might want but until the stock prop shows up, it flies it great and maybe even more to scale. Go to HorizonHobby.com, find the ParkZone F4F-Wildcat (PKZ1975) replacement prop 9X6 (PKZ1019). It is in stock and with a little reaming fits the P-51 D spinner perfectly and flies it great on a 3s X 2200 pack. No clue how long you will have to wait to get a stock prop, this is a great option until or if they ever show up.....
This is a very nice flying plane, reminds me of the old parkzone p51d (gunfighter) It is very easy to assemble, and flys very stable, even without any use of gyro's So far i have only flown on an Admiral 1600 3s, 30c bat. and with mixed trothle you can easily fly for 6 to 7 min. the speed on a 3s in my opinion is more than good, on a 4s this thing will realy go fast. It is the perfect plane when you just want to rip up the sky, looks prety good to and for the price of an umx this thing is worth every euro!
Sweet looking plane super simple to assemble. Can't wait to fly
that is 1 of the nicest planes ive got in that size.
Been waiting to fly, weather sucks right now, hopefully tomorrow will be better , 3/11/19
Great Value for Money
I really enjoyed building this kit and like the option of adding a rudder. If you decide to paint the plane, you should be aware of the masking tape you use as you can easily peel the metallic paint from the foam. The wing is mounted with two very short screws and I might use slightly longer ones though. I think it’s great value for money and I’m tempted to buy a second one.
Fast and fun
Easy to get up and flying out of the box and fast
