6S Hawk T1 “Red Arrow” 70mm EDF Jet - PNP from Freewing - FJ21411P

Perhaps the most versatile British advanced trainer jet in the world, the BAe Hawk has been in service for over 40 years. Operated at its peak by 18 countries in various trainer and light combat roles, the Hawk T1 variant was also popularized by the Red Arrows display team, whose expert piloting demonstrations have amazed audiences worldwide for generations.

Freewing and Motion RC are proud to present this well-loved aircraft as a 70mm EDF powered electric flying model. The Freewing 70mm Hawk T1 features a powerful 12 bladed EDF power system for satisfying speed, vertical performance, and realistic sound, and gives sport jet handling similar to the Avanti and Stinger 90. Since the T-45 is a modified version of the BAe Hawk, we scaled down our Freewing 90mm T-45 Hawk from 2015 then reworked it to be simpler, faster, and with a lighter wing loading with superior all around handling.

With your supplied 6Ss 2700mAh-4000mAh LiPo battery, the 6S power system can achieve a top speed of approximately 160kph / 100mph. Retractable landing gear, flaps, and a wide gear stance make the aircraft well suited for beginner to intermediate jet pilots flying off of pavement or very well manicured grass runways. An optional suspension strut set is available if more shock absorption is desired. A large battery bay provides easy access to your battery, receiver, and an optional gyro stabilizer.

To enhance visibility, the Freewing 70mm Hawk T1 also features the signature bright white nose light of the real aircraft, and sports bright red and green wingtip lights as well. This is the only Freewing 70mm Class aircraft to include pre-installed lighting!

Building upon the popularity of the Freewing 70mm F-16, the Freewing 70mm Hawk T1 adds the new feature of LED lighting and the benefit of a wider wing and wider gear stance than the F-16. Overall, the Hawk makes a perfect “first 70mm EDF”, and its common size 6S 4000mAh battery can be used in many other aircraft. Stable and predictable at both slow and high speeds, the Freewing Hawk T1 cruises confidently at 50% throttle, giving pilots time to enjoy the profile of this iconic jet as it flies by. We also love this Hawk because it flies like a smaller Freewing Avanti –one of the world’s most popular foam EDFs! With a similar planform as the Avanti, proficient pilots can push the Hawk to perform many acrobatic maneuvers with precision and confidence. We have found the Freewing Hawk T1 to be “a sport jet that looks like a scale jet”!

Celebrating the Red Arrows Demonstration Team’s approach to 40 years of service using their BAe Hawk T1s, the Freewing Hawk T1 is finished in one of the iconic Red Arrows liveries with the included decal set.

It is our hope that as you enjoy the Freewing 70mm Hawk T1, you will spread the love of flight and of this venerable aircraft’s contributions to aviation history.

Smooth landings What’s up with the hard wheels BTW What I did is got some Dave Brown 2 inch squishy wheels and a 1.75 wheel for the front. Also replaced those ****** clips with wheel collars. Light and Fast

A very good 70mm EDF. Very light, but a little difficult to see at a distance. Keep it close. With throttle management, one can get as much as 5-6 minutes of flight time on a 4500 battery.

Tough Bird

Good price, flies really good and you do not need to be good to really enjoy this EDF. Eight guys at my field fly this airplane and very often they fly 4 or more in formation. It takes a beating and can handle rough landings without need of repair. .

My new Hawk

My new BAe Hawk T1 70 mm Jet is actually my 2nd Jet. My first was another Freewing, the Lippisch P.15 64mm Jet, which met with an unfortunate and untimely end . It flew great with the Admiral RX600SP Plus Gyro receiver but the small dark silhouette was lost in the dark back ground of the trees and ended up like a lawn dart. However, the new BAe Hawk T1 is larger, brightly colored with bright lights and so much easier to keep track of. Plus, I also have another Admiral RX600SP Plus gyro in it for more enjoyable flying and smoother landings. An addition note, I believe that R/C flying is the safest way to fly - with both feet firmly planted on the ground. I have been involved in many horrific air plane crashes (I am not the best pilot) but I have always walked away with out a scratch except for one time in the early 70’s at the old Sundowner’s Flying Field. I was flying an R/C Nobler on the old 72mHz Band when it suddenly went nose down straight into the ground. It happened so fast, with out any warning, that I screamed like a little girl, my whole body tensed up, and I yanked back on the elevator stick so hard that I pulled a muscle in my butt and was limping around for days. Interestingly though the plane crash and my miraculous survival never even made the evening news. R/C pilots just don’t get no respect.

Best EDF ever

This is the best EDF I've ever had. It flys great at half throttle then you have a lot of reserve power. It is also the most durable plane I have ever had. The standard retracts are near bulletproof, kinda like a Timex watch (that's for the old guys who understand that statement.) In my fifty years of RC, this is the best model.
