Awesome edf

It has been years sine I flew the 262, but now that I only have my go to fleet of birds, I really missed the 262. Flight characteristics are solid and flies on rails, fit & finish of the new yellow is one of the best amount Freewing products. The only issues you have to address is this is not a slow flight bird due to tip stalling, just need to keep the speed up. The other minor issue is to reinforce the fuse along the batt bay and nose wheel, very easily done with cf rods. This is amoung the top five edf’s freewing offers.

Looking Forward to Flying It

My favorite jet, the color scheme I'd prefer, and the 12-blade fans... What's not to like! (I'm also opting for the crash-proofing carbon fiber rods from Killer Planes... watch their video on the 262 test flight!)

Me262 v2

Had an issue with the elevator hitting the vertical stabilizer at the opening and not getting full throw. Chatted with motion and they confirned what I wanted to do was to cut the opening to obtain full throw. The rest was perfect, went together like a glove. Just to cold here to fly but I’m sure it will be a hit with the upgraded power and fans.

Awesome model !

The Me 262 by Freewing is awesome. The upgrades to V2 make a huge difference. Performance is impressive, plenty of power to takeoff and climb out of a small grass field surrounded by trees. Tracks like it’s on rails and slows down for landing beautifully. Very quick assembly with smart setups and components already installed. It has respectable flight endurance as welI. I really enjoy this model, one of the best kept secrets on the market.

This Jet is Amazing!

The quality of this model is second to none. It is by far the best value for the money of anything on the market. This aircraft balances perfectly with a 6S 5000 mah battery almost all the way forward. I use a small piece of dense foam to space the battery about 1/8” back to allow the vent at the front to function. Make sure that your battery can’t shift aft during flight by placing foam behind the battery as well. This aircraft will not fly long with the C.G. too far aft. I used full travel on all controls with about 30% expo. I trimmed the foam of the vertical to allow for approximately 5 degrees more elevator travel. I feel it is needed at lower speeds with less airflow over the elevator during landing. (Personal preference). Forget any of the negative reviews you have seen! If it is balanced properly it flies amazingly stable and predictable. This is NOT a beginner plane, and if you aren’t familiar with Warbirds and their higher wing loading, you probably aren’t ready for this plane (not being hateful, just honest). I almost didn’t buy this model based on the negative flight comments; but I’ll tell you If you are at least an intermediate pilot; you will love this aircraft. I have seen many people have issues with the strength of the nose section that supports the nose gear so I reinforced the area prior to ever flying and have had no issues. I can’t recommend this aircraft enough! More grins per dollar then any other ducted fan I have owned. My only complaint is the short flight time, it is such a joy to fly I just don’t want to end a flight.
