Nice flying and tracks well. Fast.
A Smooth Flier That Can Also Jump
Hand launch with about half throttle and a hard throw. Don't toss. Snap your wrist like you are trowing a baseball pitch to keep your hand well away from the prop. Too much takeoff throttle and the aircraft will be hard to control. Easy to fly and does plenty of maneuvers at less than 3/4 throttle. Have lots of altitude the first few times you try full throttle, because then this thing really jumps and can get out of hand in quickly. But chop throttle and it calms down at once and will fly itself out of trouble if you let it. Landing is ridiculously easy. Throttle way back, set up a good approach and at, say 20 feet of altitude, chop throttle, take your thumbs off the transmitter controls and the wing will land itself, time after time. One thing I would note is that it MAY be possible to fit the speed control, a receiver and a 2200 mAh battery inside this thing, but I could not figure out how. So I just added a 1/4 ounce of ballast in the nose and have been flying it with a 1300 mAh battery placed well forward. Ten-minute flights are easy with that setup, so I'm happy. The Neptune II is lots of fun, FAST when you want it to be has a bargain price to boot. Nice.
Best wing ever
This is a great wing. It came fully assembled minus the two vertical fins. Put your receiver in it and do some setup and you are good to go.
Sweat flying wing . I have enjoyed flying it . Can't wait for the weather to change so I can fly some more!:thumbsup:
***** Cat & a Tiger
Easy to fly and well mannered at low throttle. Pour on the power and it's a high-speed tiger. But if you start to get in trouble during high-speed maneuvers, just chop throttle and it quickly reverts to a well-mannered ***** cat. When launching, keep in mind that the prop is moving at high speed and can come close to your hand. So don't just toss the wing. Throw it and snap your wrist down like you are pitching a baseball and the aircraft will start fly right off.
Flies great, as always fast
Flies great, as always fast shipping and great service from motion rc.
big is always better
I bought this simply because the Mini Neptune was such a great flyer and the full size could only be more of the same. It has lived up to expectations and was problem free from ordering, delivery, assembly and flying. Seriously, flying should not be this cheap or so much fun. Space is cramped if using a Spectrum receiver but it all fits in the small opening and the balance is spot on. No sense repeating what others have said. Simply put, buy one and have fun.
Flies fast and on rails
I love the original EDF Neptune. I saw this one and wondered if it could live up to its big brothers name...Short answer is Yes! It flies fast and true and is very acrobatic. I thought I might buy this one and then upgrade the motor with something more powerful for a speedy demon wing. As it is, the stock motor is quite fast, I won't be needing to upgrade this anytime soon. YMMV of course. It has almost unlimited vertical and seems much faster than the EDF Neptune. Elevon pushrods are on top of the wing for once! It doesn't seem to glide as well as the EDF. Fast, no hassle delivery from Motion RC!
Right out of the box this little airplane took off out of my hand and acted as though it wanted to soar. It flew straight and true. I would recommend the Neptune II as a second airplane for a new pilot.
