PZL-104 Wilga 2240mm (88.19") Wingspan from Black Horse - Balsa Wood ARF - BHWI00

PZL-104 Wilga is a Polish short-takeoff-and-landing civil aviation utility aircraft designed and originally manufactured by PZL Warszawa-Okęcie, and later by European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company, who had acquired the original manufacturer during 2001.

The model is scaled to approximately 1:6.5 and attention was paid to a true to original appearance and best flight characteristics. The model was designed for electric drives but can also be operated with an internal combustion engine about 15cc displacement.

Wilga +

Nice kit, very complete and many pre-installed features. I particularly liked the hinges on the flaps and ailerons. Unique and different airplane. Motion recommends the HGN 35cc 2stroke engine, it is a little to large for the engine compartment. You will have to do some carving on the cowling to fit it. Overall a good value for the money.

Black horse Wilga 88"

Received the kit promptly. Have yet to open the box. But I am really excited about the kit. Have always loved this airplane. Cannot wait to start the build.

First impression

Just received my kit yesterday. The box is huge. It's a box within a box and then the parts are in boxes. It makes for a safe shipping container. My first impression is the amazing quality of the workmanship. The build is very well done and the covering was beautifully applied and tight. The kit includes a motor mount that will work for both electric and gas engines. However, I may fiberglass the firewall, because I will run a 50CC gas 4 stroke. There is also an included fuel tank, which is great. The fuselage is a composite of wood and plastic like material. The fuselage actually looks like fiberglass. I've read most of the instructions and there is good detail in the manual. The build is pretty straight forward and shouldn't take too many hours. I'll post an update on the build progress.
