Engineered around the abilities of innovative SAFE technology, its progressive flight mode system makes flying the Blade 230 S collective pitch heli more comfortable, even if you’re a beginner. Stability mode helps keep you in control with the safety of bank limits and self-leveling so it’s possible to fly and build pilot skills quickly. When you’re ready to progress your skills, Agility mode opens the flight envelope to explore basic aerobatics and 3D mode enables the 230 S to really come to life. In addition, Panic recovery mode allows you to recover the 230 S to level flight at the press of a button and prevent a crash. Durable features like ABS blades and metal-gear cyclic servos mean you can be flying more often than fixing. All combined, the 230 S is the heli you’ll want to fly whether you’re a new pilot or seasoned heli expert.

Collective Pitch Rotor System
The collective pitch rotor mechanics of the 230 S have been engineered to give you just the right level of maneuverability for learning aerobatics and inverted flight.
The high-speed brushless main and tail motors work together to deliver a simplified drive system that makes the 230 S light weight so that it’s quick in response to your commands.
Metal Gear Servos
The 230 S comes equipped with the same 9-gram, digital metal gear servos used for cyclic control in high-performance Blade mini-helis like the 360 CFX.
The fiber-filled plastic main frame is incredibly resilient. ABS main blades, molded in bright-white material help with visibility and hold up better in a crash compared to wood blades.

This heli is on of the best I've had for the money, easy to fly wow it's amazing.
blade 230 s
This is my 3rd review. First take stock transmitter sell it. If you have dx6I good if not buy one. Setup like they says in manual but take Throttle curve and change to 65% 70% 90% and last 100%. This bird needs head speed and it fly's like a dream come true. I had nothing but problems with stock radio. And not to insult what can you expect for $60. Take off is easy the way it should be not having misfits yelling and screaming Haha
My 2 cents
Had to write this review on take off. I tried all kinds of ways and the best is but in intermediate mode. Yes it will spool up at 50% then wait and lift up then put it into training mode. If not this bird will tip and you will just hate it. And if you look at the swash it is in a angle. If I would try this with my old flybar heli it would be in the trash. Then you can enjoy just the way this heli is setup
Long time ago fly bar Heli's where **** to fly. Took me a Year with building and setup. I failed nose in flight. So I bought planes a winner for me. Got this 230 a deal I could not refuse. First flight I was doing nose in. Get this if you are intimidated by CP heli's. If this old man can do I think it is fair to say you can to. One thing the swash plate is at a angle so I level it with cyclic and spool it and get it in the air quick.
