- November 18, 2016 - For the RTF with gyro version make sure the included Detrum receiver/gyro is securely mounted to the fuselage before attempting to fly this airplane. The V2 now has steerable tail wheel.

This couldn't be a better airplane to put together and fly. What a gentle plane to fly!! My Dad was a crew chief on one of these, so I've got a soft spot for one. Flies great and it didn't even need trimming out. Glad I got it!!
This was a great purchase. Easy to assemble. Have not flown it yet.
all good but paint
Nice Plane - assembly needs a little 'finessing'
SHIPPING - GOOD Arrived days before expected delivery date. PACKAGING - GOOD Double thick cardboard, compartementalized, multiple sealed bags, very organized. INSTRUCTIONS - BAD small, dark pics, difficult to see. Skip the paper and watch the youtube videos (which also include tips and tricks). ASSEMBLY - NOT BAD Includes rubber cement and all screws and pieces. Takes a while to dry, but works. RTF - basic transmitter - comes with instructions, no batteries - works well, no range problems. SUGGESTIONS: Check hinges for ease of movement, elevator was super stiff, didn't get full range of movement - check control rods, rudder rod was cut short by 2mm, jury-rigged it with the spare clamps and a paper clip until I could purchase correct length - check your control surfaces once powered up, all of the inputs on the receiver were incorrectly labelled - be careful with tail wheel, the 'keyed' part of the shaft was at the wrong angle, I had to clamp down on the round portion of the shaft to keep it straight - recommend using a rubber band and the soft sponges on the propshafts stacked one-on-the-other to keep the fore section of the tail down while gluing it likes to pop up - purchase sticky-back velcro tape, they taped the wrong side of the battery on mine, it fits snug, but not all batteries will - try to find brass spinners, the aluminum ones are nice, but the CG is just barely in range, very tail heavy, I plan on carving more space forward in the nose to move battery even futher forward. FLIGHT - NOT BAD Plane feels like flying a pillow - not for gusty weather - opposite rudder in turns keeps the wings from dipping, very quick to drop a wing in a turn - purchase more props and propshafts/motors if flying in grass, they're the first to go! PAINT JOB - GOOD two tone with military stripes decals go on nicely - would be nice if there were some instructions with the decals - numbers but no diagram of where to put them.
