Great service and fast delivery. Will continue to shop motion rc.
Just in case
I am not a total beginner, having flown for two years and flying inverted, very poor knife edges, etc. For a new plane with very different flight characteristics the first flights will be with this receiver. I may not need it, but it's nice to have it. It helped with a new plane before, then I took it out and put in a different receiver.
Installed in PZ T28
Flys great! I had to relocate the elevator servo to get the correct throw. (180* from factory location) But that was it. There's a thread on RC Groups about using this receiver in other planes. Check it out.
Have installed this receiver in my Carbon Z Cub,1400mm FMS Pitts and now in my 1700mm FMS P51. Awesome performance and safety built in. No sweat when on maiden flight. Any issues and the receiver corrects and allows you to easily figure what has to be done.
Best receiver for first time flyers
Can't say enough on how easy this receiver makes it for new be's to fly. The receiver can be adapted to many other aircraft as well .
flying aircraft can't get any easier than this
This is the second EFlite Apprentice safe receiver that I have purchased from Motion RC and I'm very impressed with the performance from it. I used this receiver with a DX7s transmitter in the Dynam twin motor Grand Cruiser and a Cessna 182 w/1560 mm wingspan and it makes piloting a breeze! Warning, you have to do modifications to use this receiver in other aircraft, other than the plane it was designed for. In order to use this receiver in other aircraft, you'll most likely have to use reverse servos or move your control linkages to the other side of the servo, (when possible), for your flight control surfaces, reversing the servos using your transmitter won't do the trick either. I don't know what the range is for this receiver, but I will tell you this, I let my Cessna 182 with a 1560mm, (61 inch), wingspan get to far out and lost orientation and sight of the plane and to this day, I've yet to find it, my fault! This is basically a seven channel receiver, but one channel is automatically used for the safe features, a three position switch and the one click auto balance switch, (trainer/bind) switch or button. This receiver is compatible with most of the Spektrum radios, but as for other makes of transmitters, you might want to contact Motion RC for more info. The service and shipping from Motion RC is outstanding, thank you again, Motion RC!
Great Rx For PNP's
Installed in my Eflite P-51D and works perfectly, a great way for newer pilots to move up to low wing planes with confidence.
Safe RX in Radian Pro
Replaced the stock AR6000 RX in my Radian Pro glider w/ an apprentice SAFE RX. That 78" wingspan bird flies like a dream.
