Purchase P47 and Banana Plugs

I received excellent customer service for A problem I was having with the programming of the electric motor. They sent me mailing labels and followed up several times. I was very impressed with the customer service I received.

For low-amperage applications only

I was using two of these cables as main power leads to power a charger with a that has an EC5 lead to connect to the power supply. Ergo, the banana plugs went into the DC power supply, and the EC5 end connected to the charger lead. Yesterday was a relatively warm day (80-85 degrees) and I was charging relatively high power on one charger (~20A @ 15V), and moderate on another (~15A @ 15V). At the end of the day I was breaking down my equipment and noticed that the hard, shiny plastic on the banana plugs for both connectors I was using was deformed and appeared to have slightly melted. Note that this review is specifically with regard to the banana/EC5 plugs with the hole between the banana and the wire. I'm inferring that the wire thickness at the connection between plug and wire is too thin and therefore overheats under moderate current. I intend to try the other banana/EC5 adapters that MRC sells that have a traditional rubberized sheath. But again, I would steer away from this "holey" connector for anything except very low amperage uses.
