E-flite Timber with Floats 1555mm (61") Wingspan - PNP - EFL5275

The Flight Boys at Motion RC are really excited about this new plane from E-flite.  Make the world your runway with the amazing Timber™ 1.5m PNP park flyer. It comes equipped with an unbeatable combination of features that let everyone from newer pilots to expert sticks enjoy a versatile, sport-flying experience unlike any other.  This plane comes loaded with great features we have outlined for you below:

1) Amazing lights - The EFlite Timber has some of the best lights in the business.  The strobes look amazing and they are, without a doubt, some of the best lights in the industry.  The lights and strobes are daylight bright.  The plane has navigation lights, landing lights, beacons and wing-tip strobes all of which are brighter and more realistic compared to just about any foam RC plane on the market. We don't say this lightly. These lights are amazing!

2) Flight time - The plane was designed to fit a wide range of batteries. A 3S 2200 mAh Li-Po will give you about 8 minutes of flight time while a a 3S 3300 mAh will provide about 12 minutes of flight time.

3) Flaps included - Not always standard, flaps are always a welcomed ammenity to most planes.

4) Floats and tundra tires both included - We fly a lot of float planes from lakes but we also fly off long grass. The E-flite Timber will handle both settings like a champ.

5) Leading edge slats included - How cool is that?  You can turn the Timber from a great flying, decently aerobatic plane to a STOL (short takeoff and landing) by installing the included leading edge slats.  Easy to install.

6) Plenty of power - This plane has the same power system as the E-Flite Ultimate2 3D plane and it only weighs a few extra ounces.

7) Shock absorbing landing gear (when tires are used).  The design is spectacular and is perhaps the best shock absorbing landing gear we've ever seen on a plane in this class.

8) Dual steerable water rudders on the floats - Finally a seaplane that can maneuver!  A most welcomed addition in this class.

Timber

I am very impressed with assembly, maiden flight was great with very little trim. Cant wait to try the floats.

The Timber Rocks

I have flown Apprentice 15s for many months. From the first time I put the Timber in the air, I quickly determined it is a far superior trainer. Primarily because at half flaps, these old eyes can keep up with !

awesome lights and scale landings

Love it, only disappointment is the screws are not marked, and are complete garbage IMO. Charge me a buck more and give me decent hardware, same goes for the rudder and elevator clevis, kind of sketchy, I should replace those. I love that it's actually kind of a workload to fly it, because I use a non computer basic radio. It makes flap take off and landings a fun challenge, you have to get on the pitch immediately. It feels like flying full-scale in a way. I am content to just do endless landing patterns. We have a row of small new pines on our club field approach, just the right height to be about scale for doing short field landings over a 50' obstacle. I marvel at the strobes and nav lights.

E flite timber

I was skeptical about buying the timber at first. But once i received the plane and put it together i was quite impressed. It flys great, handles the wind wonderful, can even do 3d flight. Haven't tried the floats yet but am looking forward to some water flying

E-Flight Timber

Ordered Timber and second wing. Both fuselage (rudder) and spare wing (tip cracked off)....nothing I couldn 't manage to repair but new to E flight packaging. The Timber box was missing the wing joiner. Called Motion and got bad information, was told to call Horizon. Horizon was great...understood the problem and sent a new parts package which includes the wing joiner. Apparently Motion contact was unaware the spare parts package has recently been changed to include the joiner. All is well now, Motion is still the greatest, I haven't flown it yet but have had stick time on a timber.

Timber= STOL

This is a great Short Take-off & Landing bush plane. I've kit bashed mine into a Vietnam era Forward Air Controller (FAC) plane and it works great with smaller wheels. Jungle camouflage and military markings and nomenclature looks perfect. Lands slow & soft with 45 plus degrees flaps at 1/4 throttle! Roll out? what's that??

If you can only have 1 plane

The build easy to transport is easy 5 minutes to assemble at site 10 minute flights at half throttle easy to be honest irs good for big loops and big barrel rolls but really shines at low speed crawling it can be flown in a very tight area like a baseball field the diamond It has amazing presentation i fly with two 1600 3 cells in parrarel and can probably get 13 minute flights low speed plus the fit perfectly Whats really good is its a 3 cell plane batterys charge quickly they dont come down warm and the gear is amazing You cant beat this one i fly without the gyro.

Timber

This is a super sweet airplane. Go easy on the throttle or it will be out of sight and will leave you looking for the way it went. I speak from experience.
