E-flite UMX P-51D BL BNF Basic 493mm (19.4") Wingspan - BNF - EFLU3350
We love these UMX micros from E-flite with the fantastic AS3X technology which makes these small airplanes fly larger than they are. Even in mild to moderate wind conditions these great aircraft really hold their own. The latest offering we are excited about is the P-51D BL BNF from E-flite. This E-Flite UMX P-51 is delivered in the "Gentle Annie" livery, a P-51D that flew with the 75th Squadron, 20th Fighter Group during World War II. With the scale tires, wheels, gear door panels, and steerable tail wheel in the proper position, this Mustang is impressively detailed with a fantastic scale outline.
The performance is boosted with a scale 4-blade propeller being swung by an impressive 3000Kv 180-size brushless motor. Many small and micro sizes models use a brushed motor which has a very limited service life before it must be replaced. This is why we are very happy the manufacturer decided to use a brushless motor with this this E-Flite UMX Mustang. Just add a 2 Cell 7.4V 200-280mAh Li-Po battery (sold separately) and take to the skies searching for those pesky Axis bandits!

This is a very nice plane and very easy to repair but the quality assurance of this company is either hit or miss. I got the Plane but the rudder Servo was stuck. It was a very easy fix but still on a new plane for this price you shouldn't have fix it.
I had a servo problem out of the box but Motion R/C sent me a new part and their chat team walked me through how to repair! I could not get it working despite my he Motion R/C t ams best effort still they gave me a label to send the whole plane back and are sending me a new on. Very impressed with Motion R/C to help me with a manufacturers issue (now theirs). Absolutely stand by buying through this coming any! No fear purchasing; you WILL have support IF there is an issue.
Great flying little plane. I tend to fly this plane a little aggressively because I won't be plowing a $500 plane into the ground. What a blast!
Great little plane. Way better than P47 version which is slower and sluggish to maneuver. There is a reason why this airframe was best WWII fighter. Lot's of fun and will fly well and long time on 300mah battery which is also cheap.
Straight out of the box, it is a pretty nice plane. If you maximize the servo throws to obtain maximum control surface articulation, this plane becomes very acrobatic. If you remove the landing gear, it gets much faster and becomes a really fun flier. I reccomend using a bigger piece of velcro on the battery. I lost a couple of batteries by usint the small circle velcro that came with the battery. I perfer the 300 mah venom. The flight time greatly increases, and the additional nose weight helps it fly much nicer. Initially, I stuffed the extra wires between the battery and the battery compartment wall for a good friction fit. This is a bad idea. It puts pressure on the main wing and it breaks more easily. I don't reccomend that. It you want a nice acrobatic warbird, this is a great choice.
Looks great ! have not had a chance to fly it yet though. Arrived in good condition !
I got this right when it came out and have a number of flights on it. I really like the plane, it's zippy and very maneuverable. I'm using 300mAh batteries with no CG issues.
Great little plane
Out of the box this model required no trim and is quite possibly the best thought out UMX model with regards to performance, quality, and beauty. 100% satisfying.
