16" Wingspan E-flite UMX P3 Revolution - Bind-N-Fly Basic - EFLU5050
Here at Motion RC, the "Fly Boys" couldn't be more excited about the quality, diverse options E-flite keeps churning out. The E-flite UMX™ P3 Revolution biplane is a Mike McConville adaptation of the unique aircraft designed for Skip Stewart Airshows. An exclusive E-flite model for this size class, it delivers 3D maneuvering capability with the stability of AS3X technology.
A Highly-Tuned Bipe with an Exclusive Look
An inspiration, an adrenalin rush, an entertainer—Skip Stewart has redefined what a high-performance air show should be with an internationally recognized level of showmanship. Together, Skip and his aircraft form a sentient combination that seemingly make air and gravity bend upon command. The radical design of the P3 Revolution aircraft is laser-focused on giving Skip a giant performance leap in all dimensions.
The E-flite UMX™ P3 Revolution biplane is a Mike McConville adaptation of the unique aircraft designed for Skip Stewart Airshows. One glance at its tapered wings and contoured fuselage proves that nothing about this biplane is typical. Enormous control surfaces allow the P3 to execute blinding gyrations and the authority to deliver 3D maneuverability at your command. But no matter how you fly, innovative AS3X technology makes this air show original perform as if you’re at the controls of a giant scale machine that’s been expertly tuned. And even though every aspect of its outline poses new dimensions of performance and maneuverability, you’ll have fun showing it off even if the maneuvers you execute are as simple as a loop or roll.
The advanced AS3X (Artificial Stabilization – 3-aXis) system built into the Spektrum™ 6-channel ultra micro receiver is what helps give the E-flite UMX™ P3 Revolution biplane an incredibly solid look and feel in the air. It’s an impressive flight experience that will have you feeling like you’re at the controls of an expertly-tuned 3D machine that’s much larger.
The UMX P3 Revolution is produced under an exclusive license with Skip Stewart Airshows and delivers Skip’s un-mistakable trim scheme.
Genuine Spektrum™ electronics include the great holding power of patent pending ultra micro performance linear long-throw servos and industry-leading DSMX 2.4GHz technology.
World-class aerobatic pilot, Mike McConville, worked closely with the full-size P3 designers and adapted the unique P3 Revolution biplane to deliver a UMX design with outstanding handling for its class.

I was quite happy when my new UMX P3 arrived from RC Motion. The item was well packaged and looked great. Some of the construction did appear flimsy. This was evident after several squirely flights and minor crashes. The aircraft is held together with small pieces of scotch tape and minimum amounts of glue. I lost on wing strut during flight and the other in a crash. I contacted HH (E-Flite) about purchasing the struts and was told I had to buy the complete wing replacement set. There is no way I am buying a $35.00 wing set when I need the $4 struts. This was my fourth Horizon Hobby RC plane and also my last because of their response. RC Motion hobby did a great job in selling and shipping the item. Note: I could not get the plane to bind with the AS3X to work properly. And I use Spektrum systems on all my fixed wing craft.
Very cool plane
Easy to bind and fly. Lots of fun. Tracks heat in the air. Should have bought it earlier.
Of all. My foam planes only time to fly one. I fly this one. Spins so fast you never know which way I will come out.
great looking plane flies great nice quality
I absolutely love this little airplane!!! So much fun to fly! Be careful on high rates though, she can get away from you quick!
UMX P3 REVOLUTION
Plane arrived with one of the wing struts unglued (easily fixed). Binded easy. Great flying, can do pretty much anything you ask it to. Note that is does not come with batteries or the charge cable you will need to charge the batteries. I have also owned the UMX Pitts, this plane has a lot more power easily outperforms it when it comes to aerobatics.
Fast and awesome !
I bought this at my local hobby shop, This little guy spins like a drill bit on high rates, Not for a newbie flyer! I use 300 mah batteries, It is fun, But you need to know how to fly it with any wind, And it can get away from you very quick if you are not careful, This is fast and awesome, Just be careful.
Umx Eflight Micros are awsome!
Im 58 Tour Bus Driver, . Self taught, crashed an burn, Many,.foamies. I enjoy the portability of a micro in a box. Have traveled thousands of miles an states with my micros. Ease of maintence, low parts cost,an durability compared to larger foamies. Sell me. I give the P- Revolution a Strong 4.8 ,out of 5. I own 2, an will buy a couple at the 99.00, reduced from 129.00 soon while they last.. The simple set up is worth the endresult, Yes some stregenthing set up is necessary an worth it,! Youll HAVE to add glue to all wing supports,,might as well go over it an touch up control horns, to. . Whatever the reason, many are getting to the US, needing some gluing. This plane is a diamond in the rough. Personally I used 2 part poxy. . .weight increase is negelabilble. Check an maintain hinges with a strip of scotch tape over factory tape, as well as areas not taped. If ur a intermediate pilot, 1. really inspect ur new plane an touch it up,, 2. understand planes are made for flying, not for crashing an that 3.a $129.00. micro plane is not a $450.00 ++ plane, ull be fine with the P-3.as well as all Eflights micros. Once set up she"ll spin in a blur an stay together, Crazy spins, an death spirals under full throttle, high rates. You will snap other bi planes in half... Again glue all connections, throughly. I hand launch, bleed speed off land in grass. Shell flip over every time in grass every landing. No damage. Broke prop off one time. Pilot error on high rates. The breakaway prop adapter is a awsome feature. I replaced in 2 minutes in the air again. This is by far the King of 3-d Bi planes. Worthy to be the rc repelica of Skip Stewarts Airshow P3.. The more u fly this the bettet u get, takes time. Hand launch maiden on low rates lots of expo go up 100 feet. Get the feel for it. . This is like no biplane uve flown before., I feel any negative reviews other then gluing her joints are unfounded. She will get away from u quickly, . Be patient an fly bout 3 mistakes high , till u get ur mind right. Shell be a show stopper at the club field or local park.. mild to wild. The plane is sound
Beautifull Winner of a Bird!
BUILD = 4.5 Excellently designed (kudos to Mike McConville again on this one!) But yes…you do have to check all of her joints. As others have found, the cabanes on mine needed to be pulled off and re-glued. That's the only reason I don't give her 5 stars on the build. FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS = 5 WOW!!! What a cool performer! Fun, fun, FUN! Tame on low rates with expo as suggested. But on mid and high rates, she's like a Pitts or Beast on steroids! Fast and agile…like an Sbach Biplane might be! Maidened her in winds 2-4mph on the ground, 3-8 upstairs...variable by 90 degrees. Kept her airspeed up in turns, and she handled it fine. This plane is AWESOME in calm air! Gives a big grin every time. Low-n-slow = Beautiful! Chest high, slow, 5' off the tarmac = a sight to behold! Slow, lazy 40'-50'circles at 12' altitude ...so cool! Her livery is indeed striking! Orientation no problem so far, but gotta keep her pretty close for higher altitude aerobatics, fast axial rolls, and spins …all of which can be a blur on high rates. SO glad I got her on sale (and Motion RC got her to me very fast!), but wish I'd pulled the trigger sooner! If you're an intermediate RC pilot who's been on the fence about this one, I'd say take advantage of the permanently discounted price and Motion RC's Foam Frenzy sale and get one while you can! She's a beautiful winner! Tom
