16.5" Wingspan E-flite UMX Spacewalker - Bind-N-Fly (BNF) - EFLU2780

The E-flite UMX™ Spacewalker airplane is all about making the pure joy of RC flight possible within the serenity of small spaces. We would consider this a slow flyer great for indoor spaces such as a school gym. It can be flown outside but only on a calm day. Its scale appearance captures the charm and sense of adventure of those who labored over full-size homebuilt airplanes much like it. That’s because it includes exquisite detailing such as molded wing ribs, exposed engine cylinders and a pilot figure proudly poised in the open cockpit. But it’s the slow-flight capability and simple 3-channel performance that will have you wanting to keep a number of charged micro batteries on hand.

When you love flying ultra micro RC aircraft, you tend to see your surroundings a little differently. Backyards, picnic tables, parking lots and driveways suddenly reveal themselves to be great flying fields or runways. E-flite UMX™ airplanes let you fly in your world as you see it with minimal fuss. Each one is designed to get you in the air in the time it takes to charge a battery. And because all UMX aircraft use advanced 2.4GHz Spektrum™ DSM2/DSMX technology, you’ll never have to worry about interference and can enjoy the freedom of flying them with a wide variety of available DSM2/DSMX transmitters.

You can have this Ready-to-Fly UMX™ Spacewalker airplane ready to go in the time it takes to charge the Li-Po battery and bind the receiver to your radio. It comes out of the box completely assembled as shown. Although it has the performance to climb and loop, it’s the smooth slow-flight characteristics that are as charming on the model as they are on the full-size version.

E-flite UMX Spacewalker

My spacewalker arrived in great condition although I have not had the opportunity to fly it yet I had no problem binding it to my Spectrum DX8. As always I am very happy with Motions merchandise and service Rich

fun little school yard plane.Used the bigger 150mah battery for more power and flight to fly in small breeze, floats and glides forever. No issues with binding.Motor makes a strange sound at low throttle but dosnt affect flight.

Great easy fun!

Of the 6 micro planes I have this one is by far the most fun. it is very stable, looks and feels solid in the air. I bought it for wintertime indoor flying but have been having a blast at the local ball park. I recommend a larger battery for longer flight time. great paint finish as well.

A Pleasure to fly

Got this for winter flying and am very happy I did. Not only is it a great flying plane but the guys in club all love it. Almost no trim needed. Super plane.

Fantastic Indoor flyer

I bought this one mainly to fly with our Micromodeler Club inside since it was advertised as a slow flyer. What I didn't expect was how smooth and nice it flies. When I flew it the first time for our club, at least 3 of the members were so impressed that they were heading to the LHS to purchase one too! I found that a standard 150mAH 1S battery works just fine, in fact, it helps the balance of the plane and makes it even more stable. While I bought this for indoor flying, I have found it does just fine outside in calm or very low wind conditions. The details are painted on, not 12als, and the leading edge of the wing is also taped to help prevent nicks and dings. Landing the Spacewalker is really easy, just cut back on the throttle and let her settle in, with just a touch of flare before the mains touch. She flies great at 1/2 throttle, and I was getting over 20 minutes of flight time on a 150mAH battery. Try one, you'll like it!
