OV-10 Bronco 1400mm (55") Wingspan from FlightLine - PNP - FLW305P

The OV-10 Bronco is an American twin-turboprop light attack and observation aircraft that was developed in the 1960s. Purpose-built for Forward Air Control and intended to fly off unimproved short fields with its high lift narrow wingspan wings, the Bronco excelled in observation, target marking, ground attack, and troop deployment roles. In recent times, Broncos continue service as firefighting aircraft and flying specialized evaluation missions against ISIS, and in 2020 is set to serve as a US Air Force JTAC training aircraft.

FlightLine by Motion RC delivers the historic OV-10 Bronco as an easy-to-transport, easy-to-fly, and easy-to-land RC model with pre-upgraded lights and metal suspension landing gear at a superb pricepoint. Presented in 1/8.5 scale and standing taller than other FlightLine twins like the 1/10 scale 1600mm P-38, the OV-10's twin boom and high elevator configuration displaces more volume during transport, so we designed the outer wing panels to unscrew for convenient transport standing on the model's retractable landing gear. DayBright LEDs, a large cockpit, tasteful detailing, and removable ordnance underscore a model that looks as great as it performs, while still being Beginner-Friendly and geared toward Every Day fliers.

Armed to the Teeth

Armed to the Teeth

Four plastic machine guns, four removable rocket pods, and a magnetic centerline tank comprise the Bronco's menacing ordnance package.

Large Battery Bay

The battery bay in the Bronco has ample space for your batteries and peripheral equipment including a gyro or gyroceiver. Achieve 5-8 minutes of flight time with two economical 4s batteries.

Large Battery Bay
Four Panel Flaps

Four Panel Flaps

Wide four panel flaps enhance the FlightLine Bronco's STOL (Short Take Off and Landing) capability. Ideal for new warbird pilots looking for their first Big Twin, the Bronco assembles with only screws and is backed by a full line of easy-to-replace spare parts.

FPV-Friendly Cockpit

As an observer platform, the OV-10 is especially suited to visibility. Remove the two included pilots and install your own FPV camera equipment for the ultimate scale warbird FPV experience!

FPV-Friendly Cockpit
Grass Ready

Grass Friendly

Designed for practical every-day RC use, tall pre-upgraded aluminum suspension struts and adequate ground clearance give the FlightLine Bronco the best off-road capabilities of any FlightLine aircraft. The large nose wheel and trailing-link main struts are especially suited for operating off of the toughest RC airfields, intended to fully compress without damaging the fuselage or props. Due to practical size constraints, the largest main wheel is used that can still fit in the reinforced foam boom without hydraulic compression assistance.

LED Lighting

The onboard MFCB powers five pre-installed LED lights, with ports for additional LEDs added by you. The model features two red/green wingtip static LEDs, one white dorsal LED,  a flashing red ventral LED (shown), and one white landing LED in the nose that illuminates whenever the landing gear is extended.

Magnetic Centerline Tank

Magnetic Centerline Tank

Flying with or without the removable ordnance, from any angle the FlightLine OV-10 Bronco has style in spades!

Efficient Power System

Our proven three blade 4s brushless outrunner power system provides power for all scale maneuvers including loops and rolls for 5-8 minutes based on throttle usage and flight conditions. Molded plastic parts throughout the model resist dents and dings during transport. 85% scale size props, that are counter-rotating, prevent tip damage during hard landings even when the landing gear is fully compressed.

Plastic Cowl and Spinner
Removable Ordnance

Removable Ordnance

Remove the ordnance in seconds for easier storage or transport, or for clearing higher grass RC airfields. At 1/8.5 scale, the foam FlightLine OV-10 PNP is an excellent size for additional customization and everyday transport, as an alternative to the larger 1/6.5 scale balsa wood OV-10 ARF from Black Horse Models also available here at Motion RC. Both are excellent!

Short Takeoff

The FlightLine Bronco excels at short-field takeoffs, and is capable of steep angle landings with flaps down and power on. Generous rudder authority helps train new pilots to fly with rudder to keep the Bronco tracking on target throughout its very wide flight envelope!

Easy To Transport

Easy To Transport

The OV-10's outer wings are easily removable for convenient transporting to and from the flying field. This design allows the aircraft to stand on its three landing gear without its outer wings.

Easy To Land

The Bronco's four flap configuration and tricycle landing gear makes for an easy to land platform. A high mounted elevator provides excellent control authority in all conditions.

    Bronco

Now have 12 flights on my Bronco. Flys very nice and lands very slowly. Roll rate is a little sluggish but very controllable. It will do a nice loop from level at full power , just don’t make it too large. A very nice scale flier !

    Love the Bronco!

I've wanted a Bronco for years, and finally got a good one in the size I wanted. The good news - the plane goes together mechanically very quickly. A few screws to put the pieces together then assemble the parts and you're ready to go. The plane looks great, everything fits together well and the painting and details are fantastic. First flight was flawless. Used two 4C 3300s and the plane leapt off the runway in 30 ft. One of the few planes I've ever had that needed zero trim. It looks very realistic in flight, and like most twins its really eye catching. Landing was a breeze, perfect 3 pt landing on the first try. The bad news - the wiring on this plane kind of sucks. It uses one of those multiplug modules, but only half the wires go through it, with the others going directly to the receiver. One set of wires goes into the module, then back out to a splitter then to the receiver! The multiplug module is also located such that its very difficult to see and work with. Ended up removing it with the battery tray, getting everything plugged in, then reassembling. The instructions that come with the plane are flat out wrong, go to Motion-RC to download the correct setup. I would suggest that for the next plane design, whoever did the wiring design on this plane be given a more appropriate job - perhaps something requiring a broom. Recommendation - release it in civilian version like the California Fire Department. I'd buy a second one just for that

    Wiring is a nightmare

There is absolutely no room to do the rats nest wiring into the blue box. None. Had to use tweezers to get the plugs into all of them. Very frustrating, time consuming and creates a lot of shi*, shi*, fuc*, fuc*s while trying to fit wires into extremely tight place with no room. One of those projects where you want to sit the engineer down at your table and tell him to do it with his fingers in less than an hour while you slap him on the side of the head. Instructions on wiring are simply useless, and for such a complicated, hard to get to wiring circuitry you would expect a little help. The instructions simply say, put wires into hole and connect. Worthless. Just spent two hours doing the wiring and had to take a break. If the rest of the assembly and follow up fuselage wiring is just the same, I will be calling Motion and tell them I want to send it back. Yes, is has been a frustrating time.

    1400mm FlightLine OV-10A

The FlightLine 1400mm OV-10A Bronco is an excellent scale creation of a classic airplane. The feature-packed offering makes a great-looking plane right out of the box. It also serves as a great start for a more-detailed flying model capable of adding landing gear doors and other details to. The wing and flaps are very well done and the retract units are a good match for the grass-field capabilities of this plane. Overall detail is very good and true-to-scale.

    OMG great plane

There are a ton of wires, need to take battery box out to hook all of them up, Now for the flight, I put her up today at our 4th of July WAR BIRD fly in at NURCAC field west of Ogden, Ut. for her first time. 2 Admiral 4s 4000mah packs all the way forward, took off with no flaps oh man what a plane ---- just some up is all she needed. She fly's great expo at 25% on all rates, rates -------- Low------mid.-----high Ailerons' -- 50% 70% 100% Rudder-- 50% 70% 100% Elevator-- 60% 80% 100% Flaps--------Take off------Landing-----speed 40% 60% 2 sec I flew her around at half to 3/4 throttle for 7 min and had 66% left on my batteries. I'm going to leave the batteries all the way forward and just make the mechanical adjustments on the elevator. I know it looks odd to set the flaps up with the panel line but that is how I did it, an the ailerons' even with the wing tips she flew great. Gear is outstanding, love the delay on them. Landing this bird is a dream, just like butter--- Love her for sure----The only thing I have a tad bit on the negative side is the wind does bother her in the air. A gyro would smooth this out.. LOVE--LOVE--LOVE this bird, if I could give her 100 stars she would be a 99.999%er for sure.... a

OV-10 Pur/and delivered out of first batch.

Today 7-4 was first flight, off of grass, the aircraft handled the grass very well and flew with out any trimming required.IT IS A KEEPER!! I Have about a dozen e/Planes and have just converted a D-7 to "E" so I have a good feel how things should work I can say that the airframe went together very well and was well thought out. However I did spend a lot of time on the build video and with my servo tester trying to figure out where a lot of the wiring and servo leads were to go. And it took a while to figure out how to get all the flaps to work correctly With all the control surfaces working correctly moved on to the ESC/Props WOW I could not get the ESC's to operate the props correctly and the manual does not tell you any thing about setting up the ESC's. I was given a link on how to set up the B-24 ESC's and was about to start on that WHEN ~~~ I went out in the shop and plugged everything in one more time, the ESC"s must have heard, when the batteries were connected both ESC's sounded off and went though their complete set up cycle,, I have no idea what I did to get them to reset. But now BOTH ESC"S are working as they should, and I got two very good flights on the plane today. IF they are not working on a manual up date with more ESC INFO, they should be IF they are I would like a copy.

A definite "must have" Bronco for your stable of aircraft!

The OV-10 Bronco has always been one of my favorite military aircraft, with it's short wings and distinctive bulging canopy. This model of the Bronco is very well done, with lots of detail and impressive size. While it flies very smoothly and looks great in the air, it is a little under powered for flying at our airfield which is at 5,500 ft agl. I am planning to put larger, more scale sized, three bladed props which hopefully will make it a better performer in the air. Even so, it is still one of my favorite Motion RC models, along with the A-10, F-22, T-45 and Venom jets.

    Flightline OV-10A Bronco

I was very impressed with the packaging and assemble of the OV-10A. Nice detail, although I had to paint the exhaust black and the warheads red with black tails. The labeling of the wiring could have been better. The plug for the BEC was labeled Throttle but I was able to figure it out.Flight of OV-10A Bronco was very good. Set up according to manual but I will add a little more to throws. Speed is scale, but then this isn't a Mustang or Corsair. Got a lot of likes from other club members.
