I purchased this motor to install as an upgrade in my 1450mm Mustang. I had to purchase another mount and prop shaft. It works great and gives me all the power I was expecting on a 3300ma 4S battery.
Bought this for my FMS 1400mm Corsair and paired it with the 85A Mantis ESC. Very nice difference! Flight times are a touch shorter - but that may be because I'm flying it harder. I went from running full throttle almost constantly on the stock motor, to cruising nicely at about 60%. Still doesn't have"unlimited" vertical - but the difference is considerable. The plane"feel's"better - like is has enough umph to get out of trouble if needed. Bolts right on if you buy the matching mount. I had to open the cowl quite a bit to allow for the taller motor - but it still looks sharp. Stock prop adapter goes right on and it fits great. It's a heavy plane - so it's still no speed demon - but this is a very nice upgrade!
This is the perfect motor for the FMS 1450mm Mustang. Just remember you will need to buy the motor mount also.
KV650 brushless motor.
I installed this motor in my FMS 1400mm T-28 Trojan (V-3) and the plane flies and performs great. I seem to have a little less flying time than with the original motor that came with the kit. I had to do a lot of repairs on the plane following a bad crash and maybe that had something to do with the difference in flight time. In any case, I love the way the plane flies.
Arrived on time and the item was packed great! No damage!works as described. Thanks motion rc!
FMS 4258/650KV BL Motor in a 1400mmm wingspan P-40B Warhawk
This motor comes stock in the 1400mm Warhawk. It is awesome. The vertical is amazing. It really scoots at full power. In static tests using the stock setup, 3-blade 14x8 prop, 70A ESC & a 4200mAh 50C 4S LiPo, it pulls 930Watts, 63Amps at 16.65Volts. I see no need to upgrade the motor at any point.
650kv motor for 1450mm FM's p51
So I bought this motor for my v8 1450mm FMS p51d and it is awesome. I fly at half throttle instead of full throttle the whole time with the stock 540kv. Full throttle has unlimited verticle. I originally bought the 550kv motor and went to 6s but the prop hub exploded twice. If you want to get some more power from your 1450mm FMS warbird while staying with 4s batteries and are willing to upgrade to at least a 90amp esc, this is the way to go.
Be aware, motor doesn't come with Back-Plate. So I made a back-plate to match my P-51 Petie. Draws about 65 amps.
