This phantom is great looking in the air. The sound of it is so real sounding. The plane is fun to fly. The only thing wrong is the flight time. You can't stay in the air long at all at the most a minute forty. Over all the plane is great.
FMS are the best value for electric jets. they build fast look great and are so easy to fly. The new fan in the F-4 Phantom sounds great. A real head turner at the field!
It's an awesome plane. You can't beat it for the price. Would defiantly recommend this especially if your getting into edf.
I liked the plane but it would be nice if it had retracts. I realize its a small model tho. I wish there was rod going thru the fuselage and into the wings for strength. I didn't like how the wings just glued on with no support. I do like it and it is fast, for me anyway. I bought this because I am getting into EDF and I have some but really like the F4 an bought it to practice with before moving up to a larger one. I do like its detail for the scale size that it is. very good display while not flying.
The part fits corretly . The only gripe i have is with the flimsy plastic ? I think i could have been made a little more durable imo.
I gave this model 3 because of a few things . The model had a couple dings in when it arrived , along with a not so good paint job imo. The pilot figure is a insult to aircraft and ME as well to think that i would accept such a figure ? A 2yr old could have done a better job !Cmon guys !! get your head out of your #$%%!. The construction of the model went very well and the parts to be worked, fit well :)= wings and vertitical stab.. The F-4 was a joy to fly after i settled down a bit. Be mindful of your time in the air . overall i liked the way i was treated and the aircraft . i am going to use motion rc more now. tracy
First, another great ordering experience from MRC. Ordered on a Sunday night and the man in the Big Brown truck was at my door on Weds afternoon. Packed well and unboxing was uneventful. No damage. Having grown up during the Vietnam / Cold war era, I just had to have the iconic F4J in my squadron. What she lacked in maneuverability she overcame with speed. 0 to 60,000 ft. in under 2 minutes? Whoa Nellie ! I carefully researched every F4 available in the general price category and the 70mm FMS won out. I had witnessed a V1 version flying at our field and it was love at first sight. This newer V2 version comes with a 70 amp esc and a 10 blade fan. Despite what the spec page says on Motion's site or what Tom or Alpha might insist upon, it's not EPO. It's EPS foam. But that's fine with me. EPS is actually lighter and I believe this plane might suffer in speed and performance with a heavier airframe. I used clear tape to protect the leading edges from the normal dings. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that there are a few mods that need to be made and a few disappointments I feel FMS should incorporate these mods and improvements in future revisions: 1). The angle of the stock exhaust nozzles needs to be adjusted downwards slightly or the plane will perform a backflip on a full throttle hand launch. It's an easy mod and can be reviewed on RCG. 2). The stock battery cabin is too small for a std size 2200mah-2700mah 4S lipo. Some foam needs to be removed to gain proper access and clearance. Another easy mod. 3). The nose cone is el-cheapo , paper thin plastic and is destined for an early failure. I was a little surprised that FMS, cut corners here. I love the brand but this was a bit disappointing. 4). The cockpit detail in non-existent and the pilot figure is a complete joke. My first comment was: Really? Frankly, we should expect more from FMS. Other than those four items, I'm a happy camper. There really is not much assembly. It goes together very easily with pre-hinged aileron and elevators. You glue the wing halves, the v-stab and nose cone on and you're good to go.
This is my build review! This kit is one of the quickest FMS builds ever.Just glue the wings and vertical stab then 2 rods for alirons and snap in the gear.Thats it, other than receiver and cet the CG.This is a SHARP Rendition of the mighty F-4 another FMS AND MRC Winner.A real easy build and the power of the 10 blade fan is AWSOM!hope to fly this weekend along with my Freewing F-86.I will give you a flight review later next week. Thanks MRC you are the best!!!!
First time bought this jet from here I crashed on maiden flight, soon the jet took=off the whole tail section felt off , due to lack of epoxy and Glued on the paint Before your first flight make sure check the tail section where it connect to the fusalage to see if it remove the paint and good epoxy . The jet very powerfull, no need to use elevator for taking off, for newbie ,,, need to set dual rate and expo for easy control the jet
