Climbs out nicely with the recommended 2S 1300 mah Admiral Lipo. This battery also fits well in the nose and balances the planes very close to the CG. Very happy with the purchase.
Was really looking forward to flying this plane. Definitely has a unique and purposeful appearance in the air. Am a little disappointed though in the power though. It has sufficient but that's about it. And although I'm not a soaring pilot it doesn't compare with my Hobbyking Walrus in that department even though the Walrus is a heavier plane with not much more wing area. Have only flown it a few times so maybe it will get better. Am going to try an 800mah 3S battery instead of the 2S to see what difference that makes. Other reviews are all over the place with this plane. Setup was fairly easy, and trimming it out wasn't bad. Am trying flaperons since it doesn't have flaps but so far those seem to cause more problems than not. Anyway, if it really seemed like a soarer and had a little more power it would have gotten a better rating from me.
great aircraft easy fast build reasonably priced hard to crash
just got back into flying three years ago, WOW this glider is fun, easy to fly .A little tail heavy but after you get the c/g right , it glides/ flies like a dream, well worth the price.
This powered glider provides a very relaxing flying experience. It is beautiful in the air, balances and climbs well with a 1300 3s 30c Li-Po. I’d say it’s good for beginner and intermediate pilots, but look elsewhere if you want exciting performance as it’s roll rate is very docile. The centerline wheel will allow for touch and go’s but do that with a brake on the throttle and bounce it off the runway before putting the power back on to prevent damaging the folding propeller.
I wanted a full-house 4 function glider that could also carry a variometer, but also had to be small/safe enough to fly in my neighborhood. The MOA meets that need very well. It is very affordable, easy to assemble, trimmed out perfectly, climbs out like a homesick angel, and is very good looking. Launching is very easy, just run up the power and give it a gentle toss and your in business.
Cg problem? 2 very short flights...2 broken wings! Not happy. Frustrated!! Gary
This is a great flyer. Great aerobatics. Inverted low passes are stable fun and fast!!! Oh! And it thermals beautifully!!!
Great sailplane!!! Haven't flown anything since the late 80's. It arrived right on time and the build went together fast. Set up was a breeze. On maden flight after some trimming and getting the cg just right it flew perfectly. However on the third flight a gust of wind blew it off course at landing and pushed it into some metal bleachers. The hit broke the spinner in two so I will be ordering some parts soon. All and all flew great for the time I had it in the air. Plenty of power to get you up and will float forever in thermals. Just watch out for those nasty turbulent cross winds.
