Exact Replacement for Original

The original nose gear was damaged in a minor mishap and this replacement was exactly like the original. Thanks goes to Motion RC for carrying such parts so the whole plane doesn't have to be trashed when only one small part is damaged. Motion RC is a tremendous asset to the RC community and one of my favorite RC vendors.

It's better than before but...

I used the new shock absorbing nose gear and at first it worked beautifully. I was landing on pavement. Then I tried landing on grass, BAD IDEA. Within 3 to 4 landings I broke it again and it was the part where the spring and the little allen head set screw is. I've landed on pavement many times with no issues whatsoever, but apparently it did not like the grass. On the upside the gear does not bend like the version 1, it performs well just be careful with grass landings.

FMS nose gear

This will be my second and third set I bought. I wish they could be made a little stronger. Using aluminum for landing gear is not the correct material

Very good product

I have had to make a couple of adjustments to get this to fit but it has been relatively painless.

Stiff nose gear

I am on my third nose gear due in part to pilot error and in part to design. First, the spring was so stiff I could not compress the gear by hand and upon disassembly I found a nut an the tube above the spring as a spacer. I removed the spring and nut and replaced them with a ball point pen spring and now it works an designed. The outer housing of the gear is so light that a semi hard landing can destroy it, thus the four stars. Now the nose gear really smoothes out the landings.
