Servos

I bought 5 of the 17g metal gear servos. I am fitting them to a 40 size model with an IC engine (Glow). I am going to run them on 6.00V. The specs state they are rated to operate on 6v, so we shall see in due course.

No precision

This is a replacement servo for Freewing F-22 90mm. Overall I am not very happy with these servos. They have high probability of becoming defective. I replaced 3 servos within a year on my Freewing or FlightlineRC airplanes because they became defective. Another issue is that when they are working they lack precision and my control surfaces are resting in different position when moved from different direction (going from 2000 to 1500 and going from 1000 to 1500). The defective servo on F-22 had no grease inside at all (not related to being defective). The servo I am reviewing had insufficient amount of grease. The servo has free play as I mentioned above which is the reason I took away one star.
