- Blade Fan Unit
Good EDF motor
I bought two of these motors because they work well in other ETFs yet and they have a very easy assembly as well as the shaft is the size of most other ubf it was a good buy
4500KV 2627 Motor Warning
Warning to those purchasing the motor, do not use it with the 12 Blade Fan Unit. I decided to test how well it handled, and unfortunately, it broke after ~1:00 of flight. Even though it gets a lot of thrust, you will sacrifice the motor. Instead, use the factory recommended 5 Blade Fan Unit, you will have a much better time with one motor than no motor. N.
This motors upgrade from 3500kv to 4500kv.
Nice motor, but not useful for my requirement
Motor has extremely high cogging torque. For me, this makes it useless as a generator for a turbogenerator (for an 1/8th scale steam engine). Good feature is setscrew rotor attachment, allowing it to be disassembled and reconfigured.
Good product with a reasonable price.
I have used this type of motor on various planes all with 64mm fan units. I even applied this motor to a 12 blade unit and yes it does pull the motor down a bit, however, the performance was still better than I had initially expected.
Very pleased with the motor as it works perfectly.
Great little motor
A very good motor.
Can't wait for better weather
Can't wait for better weather to try it.
I bought this to upgrade my Mig and F86. I was hoping to increase the thrust enough to improve my hand launches. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Initial power is about the same, but flight speed is increased. The only bad part is you get more whine noise than the stock motor. I liked the realistic sound of the stock setup. Overall it's a great little motor if you want more speed in your 64mm EDF.
