Nice upgrade strut

Had to put the upgraded struts to the test today when I came in with a wicked crosswind...There was a bounce but it was muted. If this was the stock struts I have NO doubt the dreaded Bucking Bronco would have occurred. Worth the upgrade!

they are ok

they are ok only because they only have 1/4 inch of travel, not the 1 1/2 inch travel as the orginal ones, so you don't get that big rebound bounce. what they really need is some rebound damping like most suspensions have, even the RC off road trucks have. This would help the beginning and average pilots save more landings. the more experienced pilots are fine. The orignals where a great idea, you just can not have that much suspension with out having any rebound damping. I feel the upgrade ones needs at least as much as the front suspension has. Bottom line is the Freewing A-10 is a great plane

Info at the end of September, but why is there only

Will let you know in about the end of September when I finish hand painting and customizing my A-10. But here is what everybody really wants!!! Please remember there are a huge amount of your customers that have been repeatably begging FOR YEARS NOW and where exhaustingly waiting for Freewing or Flightline to come out with there 1700mm Or 1800mm F4U Corsair. Can you please put more pressure on the right people to help us get a good CORSAIR. You don’t even have any to sell hello!

Should be standard on the A10

No problem with grass field takeoffs and landings. A10 took off from short grass under 200 ft, and NO dreaded bounce on any landing. This rear strut pair should be stock for future A10s. NO MORE front retract and frame repairs caused repeatedly by the dreaded landing bounce!

Closer In Scale to the Real A-10 Struts

Being a military aircraft crew chief for 13 years, I have the honors of being able to work on A-10’s and more. So of course I looked in person at the MLG struts on the real A-10’s, and these Freewing A-10 struts are more scale than the stock scissor-link struts that comes with the A-10 PNP. These struts are also better all around not just in scale looks, but also performance!!! These don’t give the “bounce” on landings that the scissor link struts have. Additionally, I’ve carefully modified my L/R strut upgrades to have electromagnetic brakes to slow my beautiful A-10 down when landing. I’m taking pictures of my project and will post them on Hobby Squak when I get my 5mm metal rod to complete the project. All in all, I’m very happy that MotionRC stocks these struts, for no other company does!

Updated Struts

Really pleased with the new gear, they look great and solve the bounce issue on less than perfect runway landings. Very pleased.

Hoping for the best

We have had such a run of bad weather I haven't had a chance to test them yet but hoping it will cure the bronco dance on a less than near perfect landing. (Something I had already taken care of by reversing the mains.) They are not quite scale since the real one has a full scissor and these are a single link oleo, but will look better than having the mains reversed.
