Freewing B-17 Flying Fortress WWII Bomber in Olive Green Color Scheme - Receiver Ready

This Freewing B-17 is one amazing plane to see in the sky and on the ground. Not only is the Freewing B-17 huge, but the scale looks, counter-rotating props, split flaps, and robust shock absorbing landing gear really attract attention. With way more than scale power, the Freewing B-17 is very agile for its size and the sound from the four 1350Kv motors cannot be beat. While assembly is simple, do be prepared to spend a few hours building the plane.

  • Extreme scale details including machine gun turrets, clear nose canopy, authentic WWII color schemes, and retractable landing gear
  • Large split flaps for short takeoffs and slow and smooth landings
  • Servoless worm drive landing gear with shock absorbing struts
  • Durable EPO foam construction
  • Nylon hinges on all control surfaces (superior to a foam hinge)
  • 4 Brushless motors, 4 ESC, and servos installed

  • 6 Channel Radio - Select a minimum 6 channel radio from our Radio Collection
  • 6 Channel Receiver - Select a minimum 6 channel receiver from our Receiver Collection

Beautiful plane, this aircraft turns anyones head at the field, 63 in. Wing span, 4 engines scale gear and graphics, beautiful detail that the boyz who worked on or flew these birds would be very honored and proud of. The build, gotta pay attention too. Instructions are not as clear as they should be. Watch your CG ! You have 4 motors, which means you have 4x the wire. So try to be neat when your assembling your components. Also instructions say to wire the motors as left and right. It make more sense to hook up right left inside and right left outside. In case 1 battery fails you still have a pair of motors working on each side. Not left side or right side completely out. It could mean saving your aircraft. Throw the batteries all the way forward, work them back to get your correct CG. Other then that enjoy a very scale craft.

Freewing Green B-17

I haven't had a chance to assemble it yet but it looks like a wonderful model with a lot of scale detail. Looking forward to the assembly.

Looks Incredible

Have not flown her yet. Hope to this weekend. She went together well, everything works, balanced perfectly! Here's to the maiden!

My Love affair with FreeWing!

I have inspected my Freewing B-17 Flying Fortress after its 3 day travel from Lake Barrington Illinois to Northport NY. the outside cardboard had a dent in it but the product inside the box and foam where in fine shape ... In my opinion (with no offense to other manufactuers) you can see and feel a slightly superior product from Freewing whether it be this B17 or SBD Dauntless , or 1150 mm FW 190 and even the P-51 w/sound.Even without putting this B-17 model together or the fact that I own 13 planes(I'm sure thats not a lot compared too some pilots:) and I have flown one in the last year lol ,I am just longing to put one of my planes down on a runway( hard to come by) and rack up some stick time I plan to take my time with the B-17 , wanna see about adding some lights that I have the GT power light kit and I need to install the MrRcsound board and tt25 speakers that I have all from Motion. there you have it ! Thats my review& confession you can't go wrong with this plane Thank you Motion RC

Just What I Wanted!!!

I've not assembled this plane as yet because I just got it but it is just what I wanted. I saw something similar a year or so ago at another dealer's website but it disappeared. When I started doing business with Motion RC, I was browsing their warbirds and came across this beauty. What a deal for the price or maybe even more expensive. It has beautiful detail and uses the same batteries that I use for most of my planes. I can't wait to get this show-stopper to the field.

Love this bomber!!

Super happy with this plane & the service. Ordered Monday, had it on Wednesday with the free shipping. The build went smoothly as did the maiden. What a nice cruiser...flew several battery packs through it this weekend. Already one of my favorites!
