Worked fine on the bench!

Tested this retract with my servo tester and it worked fine on the bench. However after installing it in my ME 262 at the nose, it emitted a terrible screeching noise upon activation. I had accidentally cut the motor wire in the original retract while changing out the pin for the strut. I simply took the motor and circuit board assembly out of the new one and installed it in the old one. Now it’s working fine. Not really sure what happened there?

Reliable and Reasonably Priced

I have found Freewing retracts to be very reliable, and somewhat less prone to damage. Of course we need to replace original units from time to time in our foamies. But I also use Freewing retracts in other models which either didn't have retracts or had less reliable units (like D***M).

Thanks Motion RC!

Thanks for offering these! I must have had bad luck with my first set of landing gear. The second set it holding up great even in the rough grass I land in MotionRC really does take customer service seriously. That's probably the most important thing in business these days.
