The F-16C is a single-engine multirole fighter aircraft originally developed for the United States Air Force (USAF). Designed as an air superiority day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft. The F-16C has an internal M61 Vulcan cannon and 11 locations for mounting weapons and other mission equipment. In addition to active duty U.S. Air Force, the aircraft is also used by the USAF aerial demonstration team, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.
We worked closely with Freewing in optimizing their all new 90mm F-16C model to do justice to this legendary aircraft. Freewing worked for over a year to design an F-16C that any RC pilot would be proud to own. Simply put, after 200+ test flights, we believe this is the best foam PNP scale F-16 in the world today. While F-16s are available in many sizes throughout our RC hobby, Freewing's 90mm F-16C offers unique features not seen before in a foam F-16 such as scale operating landing gear CNC machined from durable 6061 aluminum, completely removable surfaces, and a pre-installed LED afterburner.
Other scale details like a tinted canopy with plastic detailed cockpit, a complete navigation light package, and injection molded details like its "bird slicers" and accurate exhaust nozzle "turkey feathers" set this model apart from other F-16s. The F-16C's included armament set also features a new detachment design. Thin plastic clips allow quick and convenient removal of the weapons from the pylons and the pylons from the wings; change your loadout easily in seconds.
Intended as a "Scale Plus" flyer, the Freewing F-16C excels in scale maneuvers like slow high alpha, tight banked turns, and stability throughout its flight envelope. It has a long glideslope considering its weight, and its landing attitude will be familiar to those who have flown the Freewing Stinger 90. The Freewing F-16C cruises at 50% throttle and we measured an average top speed of 90mph in level flight after a slight dive. With mixed throttle, an Admiral 6s 5000 mAh 50c battery gives 3-4 minutes of flight. With its scale landing gear, lights, loadout and other details, the Freewing 90mm F-16C will be the gem of any RC pilot's foam jet fleet.

Overall, the F-16 is a badass edf jet. Powerful, fast, amazing sound, and mean looking in the air. I put the inrunner motor on the fan from my old Stinger and set the speed record for the day at my flight club last week. This planes looks will definitely gather a crowd. Now, here's a few things to consider. Like any scale military jet, some performance characteristics are sacrificed for looks. This plane is by far the most realistic and aggressive I've ever owned, and I've had a few... However, after the two sport jets I bought, this jet is just a bit more effort to manage. The CG is super critical, learned the hard way when my battery was too far aft on the maiden. Push them forward for sure. The jet is just inherently unstable like a real F16, for maneuverability. The difference I find with this F16 and sport jets like the Stinger is the stability during maneuvers. With the stinger, I flew relaxed and really didn't have to try. Flying the F-16, I am constantly on edge and carefully working the controls. Landing is pretty technical as well. Takes a few tries to say the least. All this said, this jet is awesome. Coming down the pipe with the throttle topped, this thing screams by, and then you get to see the afterburner LEDs glowing as you climb out. At 3/4 throttle, you can pass with a gentle bank and all of your friends will say "wow that's a real F16". Amazing to look at in the sky. OH THE LANDING GEAR! This has got to be the strongest gear I have seen on an edf jet. I have slammed it into the pavement due to some rough approaches and this gear didn't wiggle. Awesome sequencing with gear doors and landing lights too. I'm giving this plane 5 stars not because it's a perfect flier, but because it is tough, high quality, beautiful, and the main attraction whenever I fly it. Any problems and Motion RC has got your back anyway, these guys rock. If your pretty good with the jets, and want to make men of all ages excited about an RC plane, this one will do it for ya.
Perfect plane for turbine conversion - flies just great
I bought the kit without the EDF to convert it to a real turbine which works perfect. I a using a Lambert Kolibri T35 turbine with a Grumania thrust pipe and a 24 oz tank which gives me round about the same take off weight as the basic 6S 5000 electric setup but on landing it is almost a pound lighter. The Kolibri Trubine weights just 10oz and has more than enough power for endless vertical climbs and sustained level flight at 120 Mph (measured with a pitot tube) while having the external tanks and 4 rockets attached. The hardest part of the conversion is making space for the tank as it has to go into the CG (it changes weight while flying, a battery does not). The only other things I had to change is to put wheels with brakes on it as that is a requirement for turbine powered planes and also the turbine has enough thurst in idle to keep it moving forever. All the other parts like landing gear, servos, etc. is as it came and it works just fine - 27 successful flights so far and counting. The only thing is that it is really hard to spot in the air with the all grey color which is why I gave average rating for handling. Will soon put a video on my YouTube channel (SVF Olli) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCswaPEwjW2Rnwm-L7sEQXeQ
Great flying warbird
I got the ARF+ version and fitted a 9 blade 1680kv 8s jetfan unit in it .... very happy with the performance. I also tried 1680kv 6s setup but this plane comes to life with the 8s setup ... here's a video with some low passes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAPi-JaDkak&t=2s
The detail put into this plane is amazing. The retracts are very nice. I had one bad elevator servo, but Motion sent a replacement right away. Love their customer service!
F 16 90mm super scale
I just love this plane, this is one of the best fomies I ever had. Absolutely just love it I just might buy another one, and the price is cheap compared to the detail of the plane.
The real deal!
Watch this frame handle a 5000mah 10s heavy setup. Or post something better! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQk3uHg5P0Y
Awesome Freewing F-16C EDF jet.
I opened the box, and was blown away with the level of detail on Freewing's F-16C. It is accurate, and well done, and the addition of the "afterburner effects" is a real realism addition, well approved of. I was impressed with the hinging, and pushrod connections, and the way in which Freewing attaches the bellhorns to the ailerons, rudder, flaps, etc. Exeptional, and much appreciated. I bought mine without the EDF, and just purchased the electric motor to go with it. Looking forward to getting this bird in the air. Videos on the Internet are informative, enlightening, and fun to watch this F-16 Falcon in action. I am very happy with Motion R/C, ad the products they carry, and will be back for most all of my R/C needs.
Best 90mm platform
I fly this plane on a 10 S 5000 MAH set up with a heavy alloy EDF reaching speeds of 150 mph. The frame and the landing gear handle the weight beautifully.
Nice looking Plane But
I just got my F-16 ARF and put the high speed setup in it. And the power setup and CG checked out fine. It flew ok on the first flight even though the nose cone came off mid-flight making the plane tail heavy. I was still able to control it and land it safely. The nose cone did no fit snugly but Motion RC sent me a new one already (Thank you). However, the plane I received was a bit problematic. The vertical stab was leaning/twisted. I could tell by looking at it visually. So I needed rudder trim to fix it. The wing surfaces were also warped. Trimming both ailerons to the same level(judging from the a center line that runs down the fuse next to aileron), left one of the ailerons lifted up, and not level with the wing. I had to gently do my best to un-warp the wing and trim the rest in flight. The servos on this plane too, I found to be pretty bad. They don't center properly and allow flex on the control surfaces. My elevator (tail) servos also buzzed randomly, so I am replacing all elevator and aileron servos with better servos. My gear doors also came cracked and wouldn't also close fully ( motion RC got on it quick, and sent me replacement doors, so thanks for the customer service). I'll be replacing those and seeing what happens next. In general though, aside from the landing gear, I thought that the build quality of the jet I received was not as good compared to my Freewing F-15. The F-15, in my opinion is better built. Don't get me wrong, this plane flies great but for what I received it took me about three or four flights to dial it in.
