Great little plane which I hand launch and belly land with ease. I found the 64mm performance 4S EDF is underpowered and so swapped the motor and EDF unit for the EFlight F15. 600 Watts vs 750 Watts but very similar flight time of 3:45 seconds typical. Now it really performs!
The rear pointed sections near the exhaust are both creased ... quite disappointed... everything else I've bought have been exceptional ...
I needed to replace my F22 fuselage due to reversed ailerons on the maiden. Got the replacement changed all the other parts and it flys awesome
EXCELLENT PLANE, DURABLE AND EASY TO FLY. POSTAL SHIPPING COST NEEDS TO BE CHEAPER THAN THE PRODUCT.
does not come with front gear, but does have canopy and servo y-cables installed
the back corners were a little smashed when I got it, Tim
Had to buy new fuselage after pulling up out of a roll, a half roll to short. Flew it straight into the ground. All that was damaged was fuselage and gear. Bought the new parts from Motion RC and was back ready to fly. Paint matched great, parts fit back perfectly. Thank you Motion RC for having parts in stock!
As I was swapping out the parts from the damaged fuse I realized how well thought out the Freewing F22 is. I own the F18 as well and both really perform well, fly well, and land well. I had crashed them both about 6 weeks apart and had to wait for the replacement to come back in stock. The reason for the 4 star is the paint blemish that I had on both replacement fuses. I do hope that Free wing will tighten up a little on this issue. Big paint bubbles on both fortunately on the bottom of the fuse.
This is great if you have damaged you stock fuse. I was surprised to see the y harnesses factory installed so you wont have to fiddle with routing wires. The screws do come for the elevator servo covers but you will need your screws for the wings stabilizers and landing gear. You will also need the whole nose gear assembly there is no plastic ir anything for the nose gear. The reason for four stars instead of 5 is the packaging. Mine was simply put in a box with brown paper and as a result had a few scratches and dents but nothing noticeable from more than 10 feet away. This was good though and only took me 20 minutes to put together
