EXCELLENT PLANE, DURABLE AND EASY TO FLY. POSTAL SHIPPING COST NEEDS TO BE CHEAPER THAN THE PRODUCT.
nice replacement part
does not come with front gear, but does have canopy and servo y-cables installed
the back corners were a little smashed when I got it, Tim
Had to buy new fuselage after pulling up out of a roll, a half roll to short. Flew it straight into the ground. All that was damaged was fuselage and gear. Bought the new parts from Motion RC and was back ready to fly. Paint matched great, parts fit back perfectly. Thank you Motion RC for having parts in stock!
Very well thought out airframe
As I was swapping out the parts from the damaged fuse I realized how well thought out the Freewing F22 is. I own the F18 as well and both really perform well, fly well, and land well. I had crashed them both about 6 weeks apart and had to wait for the replacement to come back in stock. The reason for the 4 star is the paint blemish that I had on both replacement fuses. I do hope that Free wing will tighten up a little on this issue. Big paint bubbles on both fortunately on the bottom of the fuse.
easy to put together
This is great if you have damaged you stock fuse. I was surprised to see the y harnesses factory installed so you wont have to fiddle with routing wires. The screws do come for the elevator servo covers but you will need your screws for the wings stabilizers and landing gear. You will also need the whole nose gear assembly there is no plastic ir anything for the nose gear. The reason for four stars instead of 5 is the packaging. Mine was simply put in a box with brown paper and as a result had a few scratches and dents but nothing noticeable from more than 10 feet away. This was good though and only took me 20 minutes to put together
Replacement of the Freewing F22 Raptor Fuselage
After a crash, damaging the nose , I replaced the fuselage. Took about 2 hours. As good as new. btw..The fuselage is pre-wired with the servo harness', but doesn't come with the nose gear, as in the picture.
Great Replacement, but Be Warned
This fuselage DOES NOT INCLUDE the nose wheel assembly, contrary to the picture shown! Be warned that you will need to purchase that part 09arately on this site. Aside from that, this is a pretty good replacement part. I crashed my last Freewing F22 nose-in and the cockpit area absorbed all of the damage, leaving the electronics, wings and elevators in perfect condition, so I ordered this ti replace the damage fuselage. The nose wheel assembly was also completely trashed, but the image for the fuselage showed the nosewheel so I assumed it would be included - it is NOT included! Also note that the fuselage comes with no electronics (aside from factory-installed servo cables to connect your old servos to the cockpit area) and you will have to move all of the servos, ESC, motor, ducted fan assembly, nosewheel assembly and wings/elevators to this new fuselage. DO NOT glue any parts down, you will have to use the screws from your old model as this fuselage does not come with any replacement screws/parts. You'd also do well to reinforce the edges where parts are glued together by using some clear packaging tape - I've seen parts straight from the factory delaminate in flight without it! I know this review sounds like a warning, but I am really quite satisfied with this replacement - it just needs a little extra love (and a 09arate nosewheel assembly). ;)
