Freewing 6S Hawk T1 “Red Arrow” 70mm EDF Jet - PNP
6S Hawk T1 “Red Arrow” 70mm EDF Jet - PNP from Freewing - FJ21411P
Perhaps the most versatile British advanced trainer jet in the world, the BAe Hawk has been in service for over 40 years. Operated at its peak by 18 countries in various trainer and light combat roles, the Hawk T1 variant was also popularized by the Red Arrows display team, whose expert piloting demonstrations have amazed audiences worldwide for generations.
Freewing and Motion RC are proud to present this well-loved aircraft as a 70mm EDF powered electric flying model. The Freewing 70mm Hawk T1 features a powerful 12 bladed EDF power system for satisfying speed, vertical performance, and realistic sound, and gives sport jet handling similar to the Avanti and Stinger 90. Since the T-45 is a modified version of the BAe Hawk, we scaled down our Freewing 90mm T-45 Hawk from 2015 then reworked it to be simpler, faster, and with a lighter wing loading with superior all around handling.
With your supplied 6Ss 2700mAh-4000mAh LiPo battery, the 6S power system can achieve a top speed of approximately 160kph / 100mph. Retractable landing gear, flaps, and a wide gear stance make the aircraft well suited for beginner to intermediate jet pilots flying off of pavement or very well manicured grass runways. An optional suspension strut set is available if more shock absorption is desired. A large battery bay provides easy access to your battery, receiver, and an optional gyro stabilizer.
To enhance visibility, the Freewing 70mm Hawk T1 also features the signature bright white nose light of the real aircraft, and sports bright red and green wingtip lights as well. This is the only Freewing 70mm Class aircraft to include pre-installed lighting!
Building upon the popularity of the Freewing 70mm F-16, the Freewing 70mm Hawk T1 adds the new feature of LED lighting and the benefit of a wider wing and wider gear stance than the F-16. Overall, the Hawk makes a perfect “first 70mm EDF”, and its common size 6S 4000mAh battery can be used in many other aircraft. Stable and predictable at both slow and high speeds, the Freewing Hawk T1 cruises confidently at 50% throttle, giving pilots time to enjoy the profile of this iconic jet as it flies by. We also love this Hawk because it flies like a smaller Freewing Avanti –one of the world’s most popular foam EDFs! With a similar planform as the Avanti, proficient pilots can push the Hawk to perform many acrobatic maneuvers with precision and confidence. We have found the Freewing Hawk T1 to be “a sport jet that looks like a scale jet”!
Celebrating the Red Arrows Demonstration Team’s approach to 40 years of service using their BAe Hawk T1s, the Freewing Hawk T1 is finished in one of the iconic Red Arrows liveries with the included decal set.
It is our hope that as you enjoy the Freewing 70mm Hawk T1, you will spread the love of flight and of this venerable aircraft’s contributions to aviation history.

The hawk is in attractive Airplane and a good flyer with full flaps it slows down very nicely for landing. The only thing wrong with mine is all of the wheels on it were egg shaped. After I replaced all of them with round wheels it has been a pleasure.
I've been flying scale warbirds the past few years, so last October I wanted to try an EDF jet. So after a friend showed me his, I just had to have one. I didn't get mine from Motion RC since I got a good deal from a local seller. The build was quick and easy and I set everything up by the book. Since I got mine in a bundle with the upgraded landing gear, I didn't even bother to try the stock gear. I'm flying mine with a 6S 4000mah 35-70C battery, but there is enough room to fit even larger batteries. I tried flying it with a 6S 5000mah 75C which weighs about 920g, space is not an issue and it can definitely carry the extra weight. The maiden flight was pretty uneventful, hardly any trimming was needed. The recommended throws are good, but I increased mine slightly to better fit my taste. I've never had a plane fly this precise before, I'm very happy with it. However, I would definitely recommend checking the landing gear from time to time. Mine had a few grub screws come loose which caused the plane to steer on its own.
I have flown this plane many, many times before I wrote this review. This was my first 70mm EDF jet so I somewhat learned to fly a 70mm EDF with this plane. This is a very well built plane. It's easy to put together, is structurally very strong and looks good on the ground and in the air! No quality problems here. It flies great, has plenty of power and no bad flying habits. The retracts amaze me that they keep working despite many hard landings. Just keep bending the OEM wire struts (on the plane without removing them no less) and the retracts keep working! These retracts and strong attachment points in the wing will beat any Eflite or FMS retracts hands down. I strongly suggest using full flaps to land to slow the plane down or it comes in hot and can bounce quite a bit on landing. It takes off fine on pavement with no flaps. I fly on asphalt but based on my experience with the jet taxing in grass I believe this plane can be flown on any half way decent grassy surface. This plane is almost the size of many 80mm EDF's has plenty of power and good visibility. A typical flight time for me with a 4000 mah is about 3 - 3.5 minutes although that is with pretty heavy throttle use. Hope this helps you guys.
It is good airplane because the finition is low
Overall quality is good, she flies well and looks good. A bit faster than the Eflite Viper and foam is better quality than the Viper. This plane really takes a beating on hard landings. On a durability scale it's a 10. But what's REALLY best about this plane and Motion RC is that that all parts are readily available (not sold in pairs.....) and generally cheaper than HH so your not getting ripped off by HH on Eflite and FMS replacement parts and waiting months for replacement parts. Take retracts for example!!!
I love this plane everything I will come from motion rc very nice product
