Freewing Mig-15 Silver 64mm EDF Jet - PNP
64mm Freewing Mig-15 - Silver - Receiver Ready (PNP) - FJ10221P
The Freewing Mig-15 is truly one of the best values in radio control EDF jets. Affordable, built like a tank, and a blast to fly, the Freewing Mig-15 will not disappoint. It has plenty of speed and great flight characteristics right out of the box. We find ourselves reaching for the Freewing 64mm EDF jets very frequently even though we have hundreds of planes to choose from. This Mig-15 has plenty of power available so aerobatic moves like loops, rolls, and inverted flight can be performed with ease. The ailerons have great authority so the plane has a fantastic roll rate. The Freewing 64mm EDF jets are some of the most entertaining jets out there. The Freewing Mig15 is built from durable EPO foam and uses nylon hinges on the control surfaces for increased strength and duty cycles. The durable airframe is perfect for hand launching and belly landing on grass surfaces.

Thing is an absolute tank
I cant imagine a tougher plane - EDF or otherwise. It's an absolute tank. My motor burned out on the second flight (own fault - dont run a 12 blade fan on the stock 4500kv motor!) and it went nose first into the ground at very high speed. Any other plane would have been collected with a garbage bag - there was damage obviously, but nothing a little bit of hot water and glue couldnt resolve. The finish isnt as slick as FW's other planes - the elevator pushrods are flimsy and dont have a threaded end for the clevis' and there's a few spots of paint where there shouldnt have been. The tail assembly is a bit fiddly and there's really nothing locating the tail onto the fuselage, so take your time glueing it. But these are more than fair issues for the price and do not negatively impact the flying experience (but warrant knocking a star off). A 3s hand launch jet is a valuable addition to the stable. The plane flies better than its price tag. It's a great product.
Ordered as a replacement for the one I crashed
Great Plane Great Price
This plane is a blast! I might need to pick up the F-86 to go along with it. It handles my 3s 1600mAh, 1800mAh, and 2200mAh batteries with no problems. The 2200mAh takes a bit longer getting up to speed, but the Mig can handle it. Just move it as far back as you can so it isn't nose heavy and all that mass is right over the CG and you should be fine.
the motor is to weak and without a rudder or landing gear is very hard to get going so we put a 2200kv motor on the front and it was good and flew w/o the stock motor and with landing gear crazy but it flew once we got he cg right I think I will stick with 70 mm jets or larger
Once airborne, she's a delightful little model to fly. My friend at the flying field thought it was "adorable". My only complaint is that it's under-powered for our altitude here in Colorado. Requires a Terry Bradshaw "Hail Mary" pass effort to get her airborne to avoid her from literally biting the dust.
Freewing mig 15
Definitely a best buy as this mig is well worth the money, and if there is anyone looking for a mig 15 this is the one to buy.
underpowered. hard to launch
needs to be thrown like a football
Mig-15 Silver 64mm
I purchased this as the third 64 mm in my stable, after the F105 and F8 but before the F9F. I have to agree with assembly being easy except for the rudder/elevator. Take your time with this portion as this is the most difficult part of the assembly; the rest of the assembly is intuitive and fairly simple. Hand launching is easy and has the same characteristics as the F9F, she will go out level. Be careful not to give too much up elevator too early or she will stall on you. I fly her clean, no tanks and she cruises along nicely on half throttle but keep the speed up on turns. I did do a loop early on and didn't carry enough speed into the loop. Upon exiting the plane went into a flat spin/ stall at about 50 feet. Luckily she landed flat on grass so there was no damage. Lesson learned, keep the speed up on aerobatics. The Mig 15 is a very nice flyer and does indeed fly like she is on rails, even in 10mph windy days. The color scheme is great for these aging eyes and the contrast of silver and red are great for orientation.
