SkyRC Signal Loss Alarm and Aircraft Finder - SK-600073

This little device can come in handy in the unfortunate event you lose your plane, whether from tall grass, woods or any number of factors. The SkyRC Signal Loss Alarm & Lost Aircraft Finder is controlled by a tiny MCU. A simple device, it can be plugged into any servo/RX port and will detect the loss of your transmitter signal and emit a loud 85dB alarm. Ideal for warning you if you have not turned off your RX power supply while in the pits, or if you are having trouble finding a model in the long grass, simply turn off your TX, the alarm will sound and the red LED will start to blink! With its versatility and small size, the Signal Loss Alarm & Lost Aircraft Finder is a "must-have" accessory for fliers.

If you don't want the alarm to beep after one minute you can disable the one minute TX inactive warning by simply moving the switch to mode 2.

Features:

  • Loud 85dB alarm gets your attention
  • Built-in LED
  • Can be used as a reminder to turn off the R/C receiver
  • One minute TX inactive warning can be turned off (Mode 2)
  • Plugs into any standard 4.8 - 6.0 V DC powered receiver
  • Average current draw is under 2.5mA when idle, 50mA during alarm
  • Small size and weight (~7-grams)

Sky rc signal loss alarm and aircraft finder

Does not work when the transmitter is turned off. The other feature works but in my opinion is useless because you can not turn it off unless you unplug your battery. I can not ever see a situation at the field where you would use this feature.

Lost plane location helper.

I have had several time when a plane went down in tall wheat or cottontails. The cottontail search and recovery would have go much faster with this. The trick with these is they have to be in series with a servo being used.

SkyRC Signal Loss Alarm and Aircraft Finder: Did not work

I crash a lot and sometimes lose models in brush, trees or rooftops. I got this thing hoping that switching off my transmitter would make it screech. No dice. I plug it into a receiver. It seems to power up and makes a 'beep!' Then I turn of my transmitter. Then nothing.Plugging it into different channels didn't help. Oh well...

Don't waste your money

Motion has been so good to me sending items very promptly and I think quite reasonable---but this little $5 dollar item is not worth even talking about. I called and someone said it take 1 to ten minutes to work. Never has worked and never will. Had my trans off for two hrs waiting for a signal. Not worth sending it back, such a small price to fool around with--still will deal with Motion for my Batteries. Best on the market very prompt service---wes

Works how it should.

Haven't had to use it yet but it definitely seems like it would help locating a downed plane.

Sky Rc Alarm Finder

Purchased three of these after I lost a plane and it took a month to locate. Two worked perfectly, one would light up, but no sound. Filled out a ticket. The next day I checked status. Motion had already put one in the mail. Haven't had a real test, but testing in the back yard they seem like they will do the trick. Cheap six dollar insurance policy. Thanks Motion.

Loss of signal alarm and aircraft finder

This is good accessory to have just in case your aircraft is lost and you have a hard time locating the crash site to recover the downed aircraft.
