TechOne Air Titan 1600mm (63") Wingspan - PNP - TEC0880003P
The TechOne Air Titan is one of our most versatile and fun to fly RC airplanes. Its large wingspan, high-wing configuration, and durable metal landing gear make it an ideal trainer aircraft for beginner pilots. But this is not just a great trainer, the Air Titan's powerful motor and solid construction mean it can handle advanced aerobatics and more aggressive flying techniques. You can even use the Air Titan to tow your favorite glider to high altitudes using the included servo-controlled tow hook. Multiple landing equipment options is another reason why the Air Titan is one of our most popular aircraft. The kit includes large wheels perfect for grass or pavement. If you want to fly off of water, there is an optional float set available with working rudders so you can easily takeoff and land on any pond or lake. And the fun doesn't need to stop in the Winter since TechOne also has an Air Titan snow ski set available. The main wing can also be removed to make it easier to transport the Air Titan. Made of light yet durable EPO foam with a high wing and rugged tri-gear, the Air Titan is tailor-made for anyone wanting a large-size trainer with the versatility to fly on pavement, grass, water or snow.
- Durable EPO and high wing with large camber to increase trainer capabilities
- Rugged and strong tri-gear for added insurance on takeoffs and landings
- Multiple landing equipment option allow you to take-off from pavement, grass, water or snow.
- Servo controlled tow hook allows you to tow your favorite glider with ease
- Snow takeoffs and landings available with snow ski set (not included see spare parts)
- Water takeoffs and landings available with float set (not included see spare parts)
- Flaps added for quicker takeoffs and slower landings
- Easy to remove wing and tail section makes transport a breeze

This plane can take the hardest landing. If you are still bouncing your planes down the runway on landing then "bigger is better" and the softer the tires the less bounce. This plane is structurally strong and handles grass runways with ease, even the dandelions. If you've ever busted a landing gear it won't happen with this plane. Because it is designed as a tow plane it has the power to impress. Make sure you mount the gear on the rear set of mounting holes for correct CG and easy takeoffs. This is one plane that you definitely get what you pay for. If you've ever crashed a foamy then this plane is for you.
One of the best and topest trainers.
This plane fly,s like dream ,once i rebuilt the tail wheel assemble . Replaced two bad servos , had a ESC fail and fire, got the plane down safely. Have flown it many times after it was repaired, great flying plane. (Motion RC were a great help on replacing some of these parts)
The 'Air Titan' (Max Thrust 'Riot XL' if you're in the UK - same plane different badge!), is OK but suffers from being built down too a price and not up to a quality. Servos and linkages are poor quality with slop/free-play in them. The airframe needs extra weight in the nose to achieve the recommended C of G location. The battery hatch is weak and the space for a LiPo is restricted. You might find your 4-cell pack will not easily fit or else the velcro/hook 'n eye straps not be long enough to secure it. Tail wheel is a well known weak point and will snap as soon as you as much as look at it! The Rudder & Elevator paper(?) hinges are very poor and can easily pull out too. Flight performance is good though. (Still prefer the smaller size 'Riot'). An expensive model for what it is and the quality of the components.
The Titan flies very well with a thoughtfully built fuse and wing set. Unfortunately some parts and assembly are very disappointing. The first Air Titan I bought had many issues, f.i. wheels not round, hatch lock broken, prop centering rings too small and a destroyed elevator servo. After Motion RC sent me spares incl. APC prop, I found out that also the elevator pushrod was jammed. They took the built plane back without a fuss and gave me another. Great customer service. The next Titan's pushrods were not smooth either so I took them out, straightened and cleaned them (how many things can get wrong with a pushrod? Ask TechOne). Still not great but do the job. Then the CoG. I managed to get a 4000 4s lipo of 420 grams in the battery tray, after cutting out some foam. It still needed 100 gram extra weight in the nose to set the CoG on 95 mm. However, when I took it to the air I found out it was nose heavy. So I took out 60 grams and with the CoG at 100 mm it flies great. Quite fast and very predictable with the 13x10 prop I mounted. With flaps slow and stable. A nasty habit is it spontaneous climb when accelerating at level flight. I adapted the motor pitch, pointing it a few degrees down, which did not help a great deal. With it’s 2,5 kilos still easy in landings with flaps deployed. If TechOne improves parts and the assembly I might rate with 5 stars, because it is well designed, sturdy, with a good performance and easy to handle. For beginners, but fun for advanced fliers too. For this price however I expect better parts, flawless assembly and a printed manual too. The plane has too many issues to recommend. Surely I do recommend Motion RC for their great customemer service.
About a month ago I purchased the tech one air titan after watching a video by a motion rc rep in the netherlands. I am an intermediate flyer that needs to work on his landings and thought this airplane would be perfect for this purpose. The airplane came very quickly as is standard for motion rc. The airplane had two inop aileron servos and the battery hatch door release lever broke off when I tried to open it one of the aileron push rods striped probably due to the numerous times I needed to loosen it for adjustment purposes. Finally got everything sorted out and was able to fly it.Did not seem to do well in the wind but did fly very well on calm days.Good airplane for me to practice landings with,Quality not that good but motion rc stood behind the product and sent me all the replacement parts quickly no charge.Great customer service.
To me it handles like a balsa model but minus the clean up. I am very happy with this plane.
Great plane but no instructions in box and the battery hatch clip didn't work and found to be broken can't wait to fly it
