Great for beginners
Great design. Easy to hand launch, big and easy to see in flight, cruises around slowly yet can zip around pretty good too. EDF is nice as there is no prop to break or worry about. We put lights on 2 of them and have a blast trying to chase each other around and can bump into each other in flight with no props getting tangled up and shredding stuff. Great fun!
Thanks for fast shipment and great products
Assembly isn’t too bad. You have to glue the two wing halves and stabilizers and I recommend replacing the cheap canopy magnet with a strong earth magnet. Your canopy will fall off with the original magnet. It flys very well but not a speed demon. Have not been able to take off from the grass as seen in the video, unable to acquire enough airspeed for liftoff due to ground friction but all in all it flys great! Would be great with FPV as long as equipment is light. If you want fast, then go with their prop version of this wing. It’s really fun to fly.
Neptune edf wing
Fast service, easy to build and fly. Only problem I have had Is the battery hatch falling off during flight. Need a better magnet
Good Park Airplane
The wing went together without any real issues, except there were no instructions included with the aircraft. The instructions are available on line from the manufacturer. I was able to fit a 4 channel receiver, ESC and 2200 3s battery without having to do any carving. The maiden flight on low rates did require some trim adjustments. I flew it at half throttle for 5 minutes and had over 50% of the battery left. The wing does float when it gets into ground effect when landing. I recommend the wing highly.
TechOne Neptune EDF
This is a nice flying model. It hand launches easily and is a steady flyer in lighter winds (5 mph eg). Not spectacular in speed but that's OK - it's great for climbing up and gliding down power off. The electronics compartment is a bit tight for a 2200 mAh lipo plus ESC, receiver and wiring. It required a bit of careful foam carving to get it all in. The cover will pop off if the wiring ca't be kept low under the hatch.
TechOne Neptune Blue 64mm EDF Jet
Excellent transaction, MotionRC web site works better than most. They shipped the plane promptly, the plane looks great. The plane box is large and MotionRC shipped it in an even larger box, Very Nice Touch!!! Personally I'm getting tired of Banggood and HobbyKing where you order something with "free shipping" and it takes so long to get to you that when it arrives you've almost forgotten what it is and that you ordered it ...jeez it is really a SLOW boat from China. Not so with MotionRC, it arrive quickly along with tracking alerts...again very nice!!! I would recommend MotionRC to others. Now my opinion about needed tweaks to the TechOne plane. The plane has a great wing surface area being very large the only issue is for myself is the battery receiver compartment is barely big enough for a battery. You better be using a tiny receiver. I have four of these now and I always cut out the cabin area or modify/augment it along with embedding ESC out in front of EDF intake. GPS antenna's get embedded into the main body foam in a hollowed out chamber as do FPV VTX etc... TechOne please develop a version II or III that has FPV and GPS compartments and a bigger main compartment like a Reptile S1100. Oh and removable wings would also be nice. Thanks!! JamesInFrisco
Neoptune 64mm edge wing
Excellent wing. Very stable. Easy to hand launch on 1/4 throttle. Highly recommend to all
MOTOR NOT TURNING ON EDF UNIT / COGGING NOISE
So far I've been very unsatisfied with this product and have had nothing but issues. The first issue came when the product arrived with a 30-amp ESC instead of a 40-amp ESC (which is the ESC that its supposed to come with). I called Motion RC and they resolved this issue fairly quickly. The second issue arose when the model was assembled. The EDF motor is not responding correctly and is refusing to turn, while making a strange cogging noise. I did check all my connections and everything appears to be connected correctly. I called Motion RC on Monday and spoke to a Michael who advised that it could be an incorrect timing setting on the ESC and sent me instructions on how to change the ESC timing and to call back if none of the settings fix the issue. Unfortunately, the settings did not fix the issue and the motor is still refusing to turn while still making the cogging noise. I called Motion RC twice on Wednesday and was hoping to get a call back for some resolution to the issue and so far have not received any response.
