- October 19, 2016 - A 5 channel radio is required if SAFE is not used. A 6 channel radio will be required if you use SAFE. Also, the Spektrum DX6i is NOT compatible with SAFE. You can use a DX6i but you can’t use the SAFE feature with it. This plane has SAFE select so you can turn it off and on.
