March 11, 2024

Thank you for purchasing the Freewing 64mm F-14 Tomcat! The instruction manual omits instructions to check the gyro direction for all control surfaces before flight. Please follow the directions below to test the gyro function before your first flight.

Roll the aircraft to the left

1. Roll the aircraft to the left. As you roll the aircraft to the left, the gyro should counter that movement by applying right aileron correction. If you roll the aircraft to the right, the gyro should correct with left aileron.

Pitch the aircraft nose down

2. Pitch the aircraft nose down. As you pitch the aircraft nose down, the gyro should counter that movement by applying up elevator correction. If you pitch the nose up, the gyro should correct with right rudder.

Yaw the aircraft nose to the left

3. Yaw the aircraft nose to the left. As you yaw the aircraft to the left, the gyro should counter that movement by applying right rudder. If you yaw the aircraft nose to the right, the gyro should correct with left rudder.
