84.6" Wingspan E-flite Carbon-Z Cub with AS3X Flight Stabilization Technology - Bind-N-Fly (BNF) - EFL10450

The E-flite Carbon-Z Cub aircraft is the first to offer patented Carbon-Z strength and rigidity in a giant scale package. Like the full-scale Cub Crafters Carbon Cub SS airplane, this ultra-lightweight model by World Aerobatic Champion Quique Somenzini is astonishingly versatile whether your intention is to cruise gracefully or surprise scale admirers with envelope busting aerobatics. Helping you at the sticks is the extraordinary AS3X system built into the included Spektrum™ AR635 receiver, which makes it possible for you to experience agility far beyond the classic Cub form, while at the same time providing stability better than the original with control that’s always natural feeling no matter how you like to fly.

Based on a platform known for its legendary versatility, the Carbon-Z Cub makes giant scale so simple—now even more RC pilots can go big. Its enormous Tundra wheels tackle just about any terrain you choose to romp from, or you can easily mount the optional Carbon-Z Cub Float Set so no RC adventure boundaries stand in your way. A mechanism is included for towing sailplanes with wingspans as large as 3-meters and there’s even an optional camera mount so you can take one-of-a-kind images from a bird’s eye view. Even if you get carried away, the Carbon-Z structure is easy to repair.

A major part of what makes this giant scale icon so versatile is the control innovation package included as standard equipment such as the digital, metal-gear servos, and slop-free ball-link hardware. Because the included flaps are functional, greater control at low airspeeds is possible in addition to the ability to significantly shorten takeoff and landing distances.

Although this aircraft may look tame, its brushless power system has been specially developed to offer incredible muscle for unbelievable STOL performance as well as the versatility to excel as a multi-purpose aircraft. Practically all that’s left to do is to bind to your favorite DSM2/DSMX compatible 6-channel computer transmitter for airplanes, a 3200mAh 22.2V 30C Li-Po flight battery and balance Li-Po charger.

Great all around RC plane

This is a replacement for my original 4 year old one that had ad an elevator servo fal and crashed. This model may be a foamy but it flies great off of land or water.

Go to plane

This is the best flying plane I have. I am 70 years young and have been flying RC for 50 years. I did replace the prop with a beach wood 14X7, replaced the landing gear with scale eflite super cub landing gear with hangar 9 1/4 scale cub wheels. ( you must beef up inside the fuse floor). I replaced the battery tray with a quick in and out release system. I found that the blue paint sceam was hard to see. I changed the trim color to dark red and you can really see it better.

Buyer BEWARE

First off, nothing against MRC. They are great. Now E-flite, that's something else. I purchased the BNF and got it quickly, no complaints. But e-flite, that's something else. First off, they shorted me 6 screws. I had to go buy them at my LHS. Then, as if that weren't enough, they put the wrong EC5 connecter on the ESC. I now have to purchase a male/male adapter to use the aircraft. MRC is a great place, but I won't buy another E-flite product, so buyer beware!

Ecellent

I love this plane. It is one of my best flying planes, very stabile. Easy to take off, fly, and land. It is a large plane so you will have to take off the wings or load it in a trailer like I do. I up graded the battery tray and landing gear. I also put Dubro inflatable tires on it. The tires and battery tray are the only upgrade I recommend. You will love this plane.

Large Cub

Nice bird to fly just about on any unimproved area with those huge tundra tires. The large wing needs some mixing of ail. and rudder to bring it around. It would take some steel nerves to fly this huge ship in a hover a few feet off the ground, beyond my experience for now. Like the previous poster, I too am experiencing that vibration at full throttle, cant be very good for the engine mount. Anybody else experience this???
