Freewing de Havilland Mosquito Twin Engine RC Warbird - Receiver Ready - FW30211P
The Freewing de Havilland Mosquito is truly a site to behold is the sky. We put this plane through its paces, and it held up to everything we threw at it. The Freewing Mosquito has nylon hinges on all the control surfaces as opposed to the simple foam hinges on the majority of foam RC planes. While flaps are optional, we find the plane slows for landing just fine without flaps. If you have never flown a twin engine plane, you must experience the thrust and sound of a twin engine plane. Second generation, shock absorbing landing gear are also included to help make landings smooth and minimize retract damage on tough landings. While assembly is simple, do be prepared to spend a few hours building the plane.

There is no cooling for any of the electric components nestled within the fuse. I used the clear window nosecone and cut out part of the front, and then opened a couple spaces in the small rear windows of the cockpit, and then made another opening toward the end of the battery hatch/cockpit cover. I also had to cut some foam from underneath the hatch so air could flow through the battery/ESC area. I'm going to look into the cooling for the motors as mentioned in another thread. Sorry Freewing, you kinda dropped the ball on this one! The landing gear doors as previously mentioned are a nightmare---lousy fit! The flying is decent, and landings need power down to the ground, so don't anyone try "floating" it in! Three stars is being generous!!

Goes vertically out of my hand at 1/2 throttle. Running 2 separate 800 mahr 3 cell packs. Should be a nice flyby plane. Had to remove the loose old double sided tape holding parts together & GLUE the parts together. Worth it. Only Free Wing plane that needed to be reglued. Other 3 are solid. I replaced the motors during construction with Suppo units of 950 K V & APC E 9 x 6" counter rotating props. Waiting for the Du Bro 3" spinners & parts to finish light weight L G.

I is so cool looking in the box and it is in tended as a Birthday gift for my dad whom is almost bedridden. I'll have it stationary above his bed so he can play with it while Laying down... I Know he will love it because it is his favorite Fighter Bomber.
