Great value jet
I bought this jet a couple of weeks ago and had it together within 30mins I solved the issue of the short servo cables by simply using " Y " leads ! And I have to say once put together she looks absolutely stunning ! even using a turnigy 3000mah battery I've still had to put 2oz of weight in the nose to get the c.g at 95mm . Overall I'm delighted with this plane so thank you motion rc and freewing
THIS IS MY 2ND REBEL. IT IS A FUN AIRPLANE TO FLY!
Erstflug vollkommen unproblematisch, CG etwas weit vorne. Da arbeite ich noch dran. Alles im allen eine glasklare Empfehlung!!!!!!!!!!!!
Freewing Rebel V2
This sport jet is my first EDF. It provides a new and fun flying experience from my other planes, (mostly warbirds). It is a great flying airplane and seems to be well built. I added 1.5oz of weight in the nose to balance CG. Maiden flight was smooth and predictable. 3 clicks of negative elevator was all it took to get it trim. Landing is a breeze with the use of flaps, (I have mine on a 3-sec deploy) it slows down and settles in better than some of my warbirds! Landings are uneventful and smooth. I recommend landing with a bit of power. I decreased the aileron throws to 50% and it still has a very quick roll rate. I’m very happy with my purchase and always enjoy doing business with Motion RC.
Best flying edf I have ever flown. Would recommend for first jet for person getting in jets for first plane for sure!!
Rebel V2 - My first EDF
It was a toss up for me between the Dynam Meteor and the Freewing Rebel. For the small difference in price the Rebel is much better because of the more robust retracts. It took me about 3 landings to get the plane down without a major bounce (throttle and elevator control). The retracts stood up well under this abuse and showed no damage. I used a HRB 4000 ma battery and the plane balanced perfectly without the addition of nose weight. Five minute flights are possible if you stay out of WOT. The recommended control surface defections are way over stated. The instructions really need updating since they reference assembly procedures that are not needed since the factory already supplied most of the planes sub-assemblies are assembled. Very happy with the Rebel.
Freewing Rebel V2
My first jet combined with the Admiral RX600SP 6-Channel DSMX™ Compatible Receiver with Stability Plus Gyro it is a must have for anyones hanger. The retractable landing gear is very rugged to my surprise. Combined with the Admiral 4s 3000 35c packs it’s a winner. Needs 1.5 oz. nose wight installed in the nose foam (its hollow) before cementing on the nose cone.
Rebel V2 70mm EDF
Bad quality. But it flys very good.
Rebel V2 70mm
The overall quality is good but not great. The front retract get stuck sometimes and does not hide all the way in. The paint is chipping off already on some spots and the foam on the cockpit cannopy has bubbled up. Plane feels underpowered too.
