I haven’t the time to put it together and fly it as yet .. just too busy with other things as well ..
Sweetest 70mm EDF on the market
I am on my 2nd 70mm Rebel and I can't tell you how sweet it is. After flying it for several months on the stock 4S setup, I swapped out the ESC for a 100 amp, and the fan with a JP Fan 6S 70mm high trust unit. A 6S 3300 mah battery fits right into the space without any modification (or wiggle room) and I only needed 1/2 oz of led up front (under the canopy to get the perfect balance. She is a genuine speed demon now and there is nothing within my capabilities that she will not do if I ask her to, included unlimited climbs. the Rebel lands very consistently and will float in for a perfect 3 wheel touchdown with flaps under no power. I fly her mostly off my property and landing here is akin to putting her down on a Carrier deck, and this is the only plane besides the 80 mm Avanti which I have enough confidence that I can land her in this small space consistently. This plane is a winner and hands down my favorite plane, and that is saying something as my hanger also contains the 80mm A-4, 90mm F-104, 70mm F-104, 70mm F-16 (hopped up to 8S), 70mm F-35, 90mm T-45, 90mm F-4, 90mm F-15, 80 mm Avanti, 90mm Stinger, 80mm A-10 (now 90mm), 80mm A-6, and a bunch of 64mm EDFs. This is one plane you can't go wrong with! If you have mastered your trainer, this is likely among your best choices for an EDF to start out with.
Very well built easy assembly
Beautiful aircraft. Well built and easy to construct. Great flying aircraft.
Great flyer, easy to land, but build quality, meh!
Great flyer once you get it built. The tail and wing fastening system is not very good; especially the vertical stabilizer. Horizontal stab us fine, but the tiny screws for the vertical d op by hold well into the cheap plastic bases which are not strongly attached with glue. Use more glue before assembling it. Servo leads are just barely long enough to reach your receiver and fishing them through the fuselage was very frustrating. Major problem for aesthetics are try he lousy decals. They peel off when you touch them. My suggestion is a clear coat spray before you assemble or fly. Overall, a nice starter edf jet, at a good price, but I would love to see the flaws fixed. It shouldn't cost Freewing much to address these issues, and the design is worthy of the attention to these details.
This jets was very easy to assemble and the quality of the product is very good as well. Please keep up the good work on providing good dependable products and standing by it as well. Thanks MOTION RC.
Very good value for the price
Very good for the price.
This is a sweet plane, the assembly is straightforward and easy. The instruction manual seemed to be written for the ARF version or maybe I just didn’t scroll far enough to find the PNP instructions. However, I didn’t really need the instructions, if you’ve built a few planes before you’ll find this very easy. *BE CAREFUL* that you don’t pull the elevator and rudder wires too much because you’ll pull them into the fuselage and have to take the fan and esc Out to route the wire again. I’d recommend plugging the Servo leads into the rx once you screw the wing on. Anyways, the maiden and following flights went off without a hitch, she flies on rails with plenty of power to boot. Has excellent vertical performance and she can do just trick you’ll want. Easy color to keep orientation of and the 12 blade fan sounds nice and smooth. Landing is smooth as ice, deploy the flaps and reduce power and she settles right in. I love this plane.
This is a fantastic flying Jet, very fast. Use the flaps for shorter take off and landing or make sure you have plenty of runway, I only had to make minor trim adjustments for my maiden flight.
