FrSky X8R 8-Channel Receiver
X8R 8-Channel Receiver from FrSky - FRS3022408
The X8R is in a smaller package then previous 8 channel receivers, but has so much more capability. The new SmartPort supports the new hub-less sensors as well as the older hub analog sensors. The X8R supports 8 standard servo outputs, and you can access all 16 channels by using the Sbus line with Sbus supported servos or use a FrSky S.BUS Decoder for the full 16 channels. Or you can use 2 X8R receivers in combination and the channels will sync 1-8 on the first and 9-16 on the second. The X8 protocol is also backward compatible! In D8 mode it work with the DHT, DJT, DFT and DHT-U transmitter modules.

Good shipping rates to Canada - good service - Charles
It's hard to find an honest company that charges the correct shipping fees from the U.S to Canada. Easy to deal with and good prices.
My go-to FrSky Rx
Most of my FrSky fleet is equipped with these Rx's. They are reliable, easy to set up, and are expandable through telemetry add-ons. I have a few simple planes flying with X6R,s but the slight amount of extra weight for the X8R will not be noticed by aircraft in the weight and size range that would use these Rx's. The only negative in my book would be the recently-modified wafer-like antenna ends which are embedded in what seems to be some kind of super-slick resinous material. Nothing will stick to this stuff - making it hard to mount them. Where it used to be easy to just stick the antennae to the structure with a piece of tenacious tape, it is now necessary to mechanically embed or constrain them.
Great dependable receiver.
