Freewing F-15C Eagle Super Scale 90mm EDF Jet - PNP
Freewing F-15C Eagle Super Scale 12-Blade 90mm EDF Jet in "Gulf Spirit" Scheme - PNP - FJ30911P
Version Info: This is the standard super scale version of the Freewing F-15C. This version includes a powerful 1550kv outrunner motor which offers the optimal balance between thrust, top-end speed, and flight time. The pictures show the optional drop tank and weapon set which is not included with the plane. These can be purchased separately by clicking the "upgrades" tab.
The F-15C Eagle is arguably the world’s most successful fourth generation fighter jet. It delivered the highest thrust, fastest top speed, furthest range, highest combat kill ratio and longest service life among its contemporaries. Our team worked closely with Freewing to develop an RC model which brings the excitement and scale performance of this hallmark aircraft to your local flying field. We chose the livery of AF85102 “Gulf Spirit” of the 58th TFS/33rd TFW, whose pilots combined for three kills during the Gulf War in 1991 and continued on strength with the 12th FS into the 2000s.
Freewing’s F-15C boasts a powerful single 90mm power system and features a range of scale details which set it apart from any other electric F-15. Accurate aircraft lighting using “Daybright” LEDs, sequenced gear doors and landing light, aluminum landing gear struts with ample compression for operation on short grass or pavement, and metal trunnion retracts for durability. The aircraft also features highly detailed 30 piece plastic exhaust nozzles which rival the 3D detail level of RC turbine jets costing thousands of dollars, and an electric speed brake which works in conjunction with the flaps to stabilize that perfect scale landing approach. The elevator mounting and control hardware is reinforced to provide rigidity in high-G maneuvers. Each F-15C also uses over 100 waterslide decals, meticulously applied at the factory by hand to finish off the iconic look of an F-15C Eagle.
Beyond its outer scale fidelity, we optimized this F-15 for ease of use, making it a great choice for weekend flying. A single 90mm powers the aircraft for better efficiency versus a twin 70mm setup, and the bifurcated outlets are sized at 88% FSA total. The fiberglass nose cone easily detaches with magnets, and the wings can be removed for transport. In fact, the model assembles entirely with only 14 screws, and all surfaces can be removed for transport, repair, or replacement.
Intended as a "Scale Plus" flyer, the Freewing F-15C excels in scale maneuvers and stability throughout its flight envelope. The aircraft's wing and elevator use semi-scale airfoils, and at the middle throttle range the aircraft is "floaty." Compared to other 90mm jets, we would rank the F-15 as one of the more easy to fly. With speed brakes and flaps deployed, we clocked the F-15’s landing speed at 21mph, and we clocked an average top speed of 94mph in level flight. With mixed throttle, an Admiral 6s 5000 mAh 50c battery gives 3-4 minutes of flight.

- September 23, 2015 - The optional weapons set shown in the photos is available separately and can be purchased from the spare parts tab above. The weapons set does add weight and lots of drag, which decreases the model's top speed by ~12-15 mph.

Just it start‘s better from gras if the engine is the high performance CG is better more to the rear Suspension of the front wheel is to soft Flying is superb
When I received the consignment I realized a broken head up display (small plastic part). To repair, the canopy has to be removed to get access and for refixing the part. Jet it self is great and is flying agil and precise . Presettings are in line with the manual and the two first flights were enterely successfull, no no further trim was required. I like this jet!
My first edf.
Wow, been flying for over 30 years, everything from 1/4 scale petrol warbirds to 6meter composite sailpanes. This Freewing f15c was my first ever edf powered plane and I'm blown away by the scale details incorporated in it and mostly by the way it flies. My first flight was a testing flight to see how it performed. It was so stable that I did not have the slightest bit of hand tremble on landing, which is a first for me on a maiden. It is such a sight in the sky that I'm hooked on it.
This plane is just massive. It is not easy to carry with stores on board. But who cares ! It is a very stable flier and fairly quick. Like a full size jet you must make wide turns. It lifts off and lands on grass easily. Buy one. You will not be disappointed.
I have been waiting for the weather to clear here in NW Florida to enable me to maiden this jet. Finally the day has arrived and I was able to do just that. First impressions are this jet performs very well. Is it a speed demon? No. Does it need to be? No. It is a scale jet and needs to be flown as such to really appreciate the bird in the air. Very good glide characteristics on the approach and smooth. The wind was gusty for me but essentially down the runway so it helped. I am not using a gyro and I don't think this bird needs it. My setup is not quite what the manual calls for as I don't really like flipping a bunch of switches for low rates and high rates. I have my rates setup full with 50% expo on Elevator and Ailerons and the throws are about midway between the high and low rates. This gives me enough authority without being too touchy. I can always change that if I need to later. Flaps are setup by the book for distances . Didn't use the speed brake on the maiden but half flaps worked well. Very smooth rotation to lift off at about 300'. Probably could have gotten off a bit sooner but wasn't rushing it. I have a 400' hard surface runway at our field. Setup to approach and landing are straight forward with no surprises. It's a jet so you have to be thinking way out in front of the bird. Below are some other thoughts on the build and finish of my bird; For vertical stabilizers, tape connectors together to make inserting into slot easier. This made it less of a PITB. Landing gear door sequencer was defective but motion replaced. Thank You Motion RC! Outstanding Customer Service! Nose gear must be in slot marked Asynchronus and Main gear doors in Synchronus Paint was dirty on the top of the nose in front of the cockpit hatch and the nose cone has a gap on the left side like the foam was slightly flattened Would have preferred that decals were not installed from Factory as I want something different. Flap servo's were not properly centered and I had a lot of trouble getting my flaps to work in two positions. Pulled the servo's and re-centered them and placed the horn properly and flaps work fine. Was able to get a decent color match for the two paint colors at Home depot for touchups and painting over the decals. Pro's: Servo's are in plastic formed pockets with covers and can be easily removed for re-centering or replacement if required. Fan can be moved forward about 1/4" if needed for CG purposes and is very easily accessed if you are using the stock setup which I am. External detail is beautiful. Excellent sound from the 12B fan either airborne or taxiing. Con's: All servo leads are too short and when battery tray is installed, there is no slack. This can cause issues later. Added 2 extensions on the most short leads to alleviate this. Vertical Stabilizers are very difficult to install. I definitely recommend this jet as it files so well.
Excelent super scale
Nice plane, nice flight
Pretty plane, few flight time, need a long runway to land. Love it, but not for Begí era.
I love this jet!!!!
After flying my Freewing 90mm F-16 for over a year now, I bought this jet about a month ago. This F-15 flys just as smooth, and is easier to land!! Last week I installed the Eagle A3 super 3 gyro, and oh man! Using the trainer or auto level mode for take off and landings is soooo easy!! I'll put the jet in trainer mode and let my 10 year old son fly it around! It's just like e-Flites "SAFE" mode.
