1. Can I add or remove an item from my order after I have placed my order ?

Similar to Amazon and other high-speed fulfillment centers, Motion RC begins to fulfill your order just minutes after you submit your order on our website. To achieve our industry leading shipping speed and ensure order fulfillment accuracy, we are unable to interrupt our operations to modify orders once they are in Awaiting Fulfillment status; usually 20-30 minutes after you place your order. In addition, for security purposes, we do not store any payment information in our systems, therefore, we are unable to automatically bill you for any additional items or credit you for items you want removed. Given this, we recommend you always double check your order for accuracy and completeness before submitting payment and completing your order. If you wish to purchase additional items, you will need to place a new order for the additional item(s). If you've ordered the wrong item or an item you did not need, you can return new and unused items for a full refund within 30 days of delivery.

2. I placed multiple orders, can you combine my orders and refund my shipping ?

Our high-speed fulfillment system does not combine multiple orders into a single shipment, therefore, we are paying the full postage cost for every individual order that we ship. Because of this, we are unable to refund or credit the shipping cost if you decide to place a second order. Fortunately, Motion RC offers some of the lowest shipping rates in the industry, so if you need to place a second order, the shipping cost will be minimal.

3. What is the status of my order ?  What is my tracking number ?

After you place your order you will receive an order confirmation via email. The confirmation email will look similar to the image on the right. Inside the email, look for the orange button that says VIEW ORDER STATUS. When you click this button you will be redirected to an order status page. The order status page will provide a summary of the item(s) you purchased and the current status of your order (Example: Order Confirmed, In Transit, Out for Delivery, or Delivered). In addition, if your order has shipped, the order status page will provide the package tracking number for your shipment. If you click on the tracking number you will be redirected to either the UPS or USPS website, depending on how your order shipped, where you will see detailed tracking information.

NOTE: If you placed an order but did not receive an order confirmation email from Motion RC, the email is most likely in your spam or junk mail folder. If you are using Gmail, the email may be in your Promotions Folder. If our email was in your spam / junk mail folder, please add support@motionrc.com to your email address book or mark our email as "not junk" or "not spam", and all future emails should arrive directly in your inbox.

  

4. When will product XYZ be back in stock ?

With thousands of products from a multitude of vendors it is very difficult to provide an exact ETA for each product on our website. We understand many customers want to know when a specific product is back in stock. To address this need, we have added a back in stock notification feature to every out of stock product on our website. If a product is out of stock, an orange back in stock notify button will appear on the page (image 1 below). Click this button and a window will appear (image 2 below). Enter your email address and click the orange SUBMIT button. When the product arrives at our warehouse, you will receive an email notifying you that the product is now back in stock.

5. Do you offer any special sales, discounts or coupon codes ?

We believe that customers should not have to wait for a sale to enjoy the RC hobby, therefore, we price all of our products at very competitive rates each and every day. To provide an added benefit for bargain hunters, we typically have two major sales each year, a July 4th Independence Day Sale and late November Black Friday Sale. In addition, we do have small sales throughout the year where a select few products will be offered at a discount. Beyond these sales events, some of our best deals can be found in our Clearance and Scratch and Dent sections, where we offer like-new products at incredible discounts. Because a majority of our customers have an affiliation with the armed services, civilian aviation, and/or education, we opted to offer aggressive, everyday low prices in lieu of a discount program. This way Active Duty personnel, Veterans, Teachers, Commercial Pilots, Private Pilots, Students, and all members of our devoted RC community can benefit equally. We want as many people as possible to share in the wonderful, exciting hobby of Radio Control Aviation.

We do not post any secret coupon codes on external websites. All sales and current promotions will either be presented on this website, HobbySquawk.com, or in an email from Motion RC. Be careful of external websites claiming to have special coupon codes for Motion RC, most of those sites are bogus and will simply capture your email address to spam you with promotions unrelated to RC.

6. I am new to RC or getting back into the hobby, where can I go for more information ?

7. Will you price match company XYZ ?

As a general rule we do not price match our competitors. Before you dismiss us as being inflexible, please allow us to explain. You see, Motion RC is a very unique company in the RC industry. Check the total price of their product including shipping (many companies do not offer free shipping on larger products like airplanes), check their return policy for restocking fees, review their product warranty, ask if they will provide after-sale setup and support assistance, and lastly check their BBB and on-line customer reviews; you may be shocked at how many RC companies have a BBB rating of "F". When you take all this into consideration, we are confident that you will find Motion RC to be very competitive, and in most cases a better value than our competitors. 

8. What is the difference between PNP, BNF, RTF, ARF, ARF PLUS, ARF BUNDLE, etc. ?

Motion RC aircraft are available in a variety of Product Formats to suit your needs. The Product Format and its three letter acronym, are a basic designation which tells you two primary things, 1) what amount of assembly is required and 2) what is included with the model. The following table provides a brief summary of each Product Format. More detailed descriptions are listed below the table.

ARF
- ARF stands for "Almost Ready to Fly." An ARF simply means an aircraft that requires your own choice of electronics to install in the airframe. Most ARF's require you to purchase all of the electronics separately (motor, servos, ESC, and sometimes additional accessories). ARFs are a cost effective solution for hobbyists who either prefer a true build process and/or prefer to put their own choice of electronics in the aircraft.

ARF BUNDLE - An ARF Bundle is an ARF model bundled with all the electronics you need to build the plane. These bundles typically include servos, motors, and ESCs. The bundle simplifies your purchase and saves you money compared to purchasing the required electronics separately.

ARF PLUS-Expanding on the standard ARF format above, the ARF Plus model has all electronic components pre-installed, except for the power system (the power system includes motor, EDF unit, and ESC/UBEC). All other components, from the retracts to the servos to the lights, are factory installed. ARF Plus models are near ready-to-fly aircraft that give pilots the option of experimenting with custom power systems.

BNF - BNF or Bind N' Fly airplanes / quads / helicopters include a Spektrum receiver pre-installed from the factory. You must have a Spektrum compatible radio (sold separately) in order to "bind" to a BNF aircraft. BNF models do require some assembly, typically 1-2 hours of build time. Most BNF models do not include a battery or transmitter.

KIT - KIT only applies to our helicopter models and describes a product which requires full assembly. Most advanced helicopters come in KIT format due to their complex construction.

KIT COMBO - A KIT COMBO is a helicopter kit that also includes the main electronics. These combos typically include servos, ESC, and motor.

PNP -PNP or Plug N' Play products are near ready-to-fly models requiring typically less than 1-2 hours of build time. PNP models include all power systems and flight control electronics pre-installed from the factory. PNP models do not include a receiver, battery, or transmitter.

RTF - RTF means "Ready to Fly." Airplanes or helicopters that are RTF come with everything you need to fly in the box. A transmitter, battery, charger and receiver are all included. All you need to do is charge your battery, attached the wings and stabilizers (in some cases these are pre-attached) and you're ready for flight.

    10. How much will it cost to ship product XYZ to my destination ?

    We offer a shipping rate calculator on the shopping cart page of our website. To get a real-time shipping quote please follow these simple steps:

    Add the item(s) you wish to purchase to your shopping cart by clicking the ADD TO CART button.
    A black fly-out window will appear on the right side of your screen. At the bottom of the window click the orange VIEW CART / ESTIMATE SHIPPING button. 
    You will now be on the shopping cart page. At the bottom left of the page you will see a section called "Get Shipping Quotes". In this section enter your Country, State/Province, and Zip/Postal Code. After you have entered all your information, click the orange CALCULATE SHIPPING button.

    You will now see a list of available shipping rates to your destination. The list will show the shipping cost, the shipping carrier (UPS, USPS, etc.) and the approximate transit time to your destination.
