The Arleigh Burke class of guided missile destroyers (DDGs) is a United States Navy class of destroyer built around the Aegis Combat System. The class is named for Admiral Arleigh Burke, an American destroyer officer in World War II, and later Chief of Naval Operations.
These warships were designed as multimission destroyers, able to fulfill the strategic land strike role with Tomahawk missiles; antiaircraft warfare (AAW) role with powerful Aegis radar and surface-to-air missiles; antisubmarine warfare (ASW) with towed sonar array, anti-submarine rockets, and ASW helicopter; and anti-surface warfare (ASuW) with Harpoon missile launchers.
Bancroft’s Elite Series of warships continues with the 1/144 scale Arleigh Burke USA Navy Destroyer. Display this museum piece on your mantle or astonish your RC boat club with this functional RTR (Ready to Run) RC patrol boat. Delivered Ready to Run (RTR), the landing craft can be operating within minutes of arrival, using the included 2.4Ghz radio transmitter and 2s Li-Ion battery. Only four AA batteries and minimal final assembly is required to begin sailing!

Bancroft model boats are molded and hand finished using very intricate details and parts including metal, wood, plastic, and fiberglass. Because of their hand made nature, minor imperfections in the fiberglass, metalwork, or painting may exist. These potential imperfections will not affect the seaworthiness of the vessel or the overall scale boating experience. Bancroft scale RC boats are fragile so care should be taken when moving or transporting your model.
Some of the electronics in this Bancroft boat, including the Battery, ESC, Motor, and Receiver, are NOT intended to get wet; they are NOT water resistant. If any of these electronic components get wet and you attempt to operate your model, the water can cause an electrical short-circuit and void your warranty. In the rare instance that you get water inside your vessel, you should drain the water completely and allow all electronics to fully dry before attempting to operate your model.

Are my criticisms: - access hatch on heli pad could have been an inch longer to access Allan bolts on rudder shaft! Maintenance access is a huge hassle! Will have to remit everything to loosen motors to access prop shafts. -use silicone hose on oiler and brass tube in that to pump marine grease into shaft log which I can feel by rotating prop. Antenna always seem to be in way and are painted metal, wish the were mounted in holes on deck rather than glued. Nothing I can’t fix. Other than that satisfied.been into rc boats, nitro and electric and sail all my life. -

It's a well done scale model in terms of size, appropriate detail and operating characteristics. True pleasure so far. I collect large scale, museum quality ship models and this doesn't have that level of fidelity - nor would I want that as the model is handled and will be damaged over time. It looks quite good for what it is and could be enhanced easily with aftermarket and paint if you chose to do so. There are a few areas (like masts, railings) where brass would have made it much more durable than plastic (or PE railings) but they are costly. Running gear is OK so far, lack of access to rudders is a potential problem. Range on my unit is at least 300 yards which is as far as I can comfortably see to navigate. I'd recommend this model to anyone who enjoys RC scale warships large enough to be stable and realistic but small enough to store, move and operate.

I'm going to put it in a kiddie pool along with the Nimitz aircraft carrier. Both looks great on display. My next order is the USS MISSOURI. Great job with Motionrc as always
