Ticonderoga-class 1/100 Scale 1750mm (68.9") US Navy Guided-Missile Cruiser - RTR from Bancroft - BNC1067-003
U.S. Navy Ticonderoga-class cruisers are a class of guided-missile warships originally introduced in the 1980s. Designed around the revolutionary Aegis Combat System, they were the first ships designed and produced with this powerful radar and fire control system, allowing them to simultaneously track and engage with multiple airborne threats. The ships were planned as multi-role surface combatants, capable of performing air defense, anti-submarine warfare, surface warfare, and land-attack missions.
Ticonderoga-class ships carry a potent mix of weaponry. This includes the Vertical Launching System (VLS) with up to 122 missile cells for Tomahawk cruise missiles, Standard surface-to-air missiles, ASROC anti-submarine rockets, and more. They are also outfitted with Harpoon anti-ship missiles, 5-inch naval guns, Phalanx CIWS, and torpedo tubes. Their ability to project incredible firepower makes them key assets in carrier strike groups, amphibious ready groups, and independent operations. At 567 feet in length and displacing over 9,000 tons, these cruisers are fast, capable, and versatile. They are also notable for their command-and-control capabilities, often serving as the air defense commander for naval task forces.
Originally planned as destroyers, their capabilities earned them the cruiser designation. A total of 27 ships were built (CG-47 to CG-73), although the earliest five have since been decommissioned. As of the 2020s, the U.S. Navy is gradually retiring the remaining ships, replacing them with newer Flight III Arleigh Burke-class destroyers and the upcoming DDG(X) program.
Bancroft is pleased to introduce this impressively sized model that is equally suited for display or operation. Handmade by skilled factory artisans, the model arrives fully assembled, detailed, and ready to sail. Powered by twin 550-class motors and controlled by a digital proportional 2.4GHz radio system, this 1/100 scale replica exceeds five feet in length and requires only the addition of four AA alkaline batteries for the transmitter. In addition, a complete sheet of hull numbers are provided for owners to recreate the hull number and name of any Ticonderoga-class ship.

Bancroft model boats are molded and hand finished using very intricate details and parts including metal, wood, plastic, and fiberglass. Because of their hand made nature, minor imperfections in the fiberglass, metalwork, or painting may exist, as well as variations from the photos. These potential imperfections will not affect the seaworthiness of the vessel or the overall scale boating experience. Bancroft scale RC boats are fragile so care should be taken when moving or transporting your model.
Some of the electronics in this Bancroft boat, including the Battery, ESC, Motor, and Receiver, are NOT intended to get wet; they are NOT water resistant. If any of these electronic components get wet and you attempt to operate your model, the water can cause an electrical short-circuit and void your warranty. In the rare instance that you get water inside your vessel, you should drain the water completely and allow all electronics to fully dry before attempting to operate your model.
