Overview
5 Minute Epoxy, 8 oz (236 mL) from BenchCraft - BCT5022-001
BenchCraft epoxy is a high-performance adhesive that forms a strong bond in a predictable length of time. It remains somewhat flexible when cured, so it performs well in high-stress applications such as firewalls, wing joiners, and tail surfaces. Modelers select the cure time best suited for the job; longer cure times are preferred for building that requires more precise part attachment. Epoxy should be applied to both surfaces being joined.
Pro Tip - By adding milled fiberglass, fiberglass cloth or micro balloons to an epoxied joint, the bond can be strengthened and the cure time shortened. These products should be tested before the actual application.
Features:
- Cures in 5 minutes for fast bonds and quick builds
- Clear, sandable, and paintable
- Durable, vibration resistant formula
- Does not get brittle with age
- Easy to mix, just combine two equal parts
Tech Note: This item includes two bottles at 4 ounces each. The total volume of the two-part epoxy pair is 8 ounces or 236mL.

Exactly 5 minutes after you combine the RESIN and HARDENER, it gets hot and starts solidifying. Very quickly it becomes hard. Other brands I used took much longer even though they were labled 5 minutes. This is true 5 minutes epoxy.

When it arrived both parrs were solid in there containers. I was advised to put them in the microwave oven(?), which did make them viscous. When both parts were mixed 50/50, they never set up and I was left with a gooey gelatinous mess.
