As good as new
The one main gripe of the F-86 is the poorly attached main landing gear. My first flight off grass ripped them both off. It’s best to pull them out before flight and re-glue them. These were both destroyed when that happened. They fit as good as the originals and there is nothing wrong with them at all
F86 plastic parts
I used just the nose gear door it had the small screw nessary to make it close. Works great
All the needed pieces..
Nice to have replacement parts at a reasonable price for minor damage. Keeps the plane in great shape. Fast delivery. All parts needed included and fit.
missing the pushrod assembly
I usually need just the nose gear doors, since the nose gear tends to take a beating. Parts are fine except the pushrod assy is missing. I've noticed that on a hard landing, the spring will flip off. I use 5 minute epoxy and put a dab of the epoxy on each end on the spring where it clips to the doors. Problem fixed, the spring does not come off. SJ
Parts OK but. . .
Parts are fine and high quality. However, to install nose door one needs a short adjustable pushrod - this item is not included and nose gear door will not install without it. So, either included EVERYTHING needed or note that additional parts may be required to complete installation like a nose gear door pushrod! And, I don't know if the pushrod set comes with the through door screw required to attach the pushrod, if not, a screw set is also required. Getting to be lots of parts for a simple nose gear door replacement.
Spare Set of Doors
I gave this 4 stars because I haven't used them yet but they look the same good quality as other Freewing products. I just wanted to get set while they were in stock as I have 2 Freewing F86's and want them as spares in case something bad happens.
